Fri. 'round The Watercooler (formerly Xers)

We're heading off again for the weekend. Phil's got the car packed and ready to load me into it! I might try to post using my thumbs while in the car.

Jenn and I went to power torture yoga tonight for an All Levels class. The kind woman with evil poses was supposed to teach. Since she must have the same bug as my stylist, we had my favorite gay. I mean GUY!!!:+

Have a great weekend!!!

Evening Coolers!

Had a good day at work today. Afterward, DH and I took Lexxie to the vet. He said she had an infection going on. Put her on an antibiotic, gave something for her ears and I'll pick up some meds to make her more comfortable when she goes for her runs (and only then). She was much happier tonite so hoping she pulls out of this soon, especially with me leaving in a few days for the retreat.

Went by KFC and picked up 3 chicken dinners for Mom, Dad and Grandma. Grandma seemed real excited about her KFC. Got an email of thanks shortly afterwards thanking us for the dinner. A little treat for them. DH may BBQ something for them next week while I'm gone. That is if he's not working.

Laurie, so sorry about the headache. It's the pits when our away from work thoughts are taken up with work thoughts. And we're not even getting paid for it! I have the Warden and an Assoc. Warden and my boss pulling for me, so I'm hoping we get a decision soon. It's just been dragging on for wayyyy too long. Darn state government rules. Are you going to be required to do more at work this year? Is that possible? I'll have to get more details on the low maintenance landscaping so I can give my folks some ideas. I really need to get housework done tomorrow. Really need to.

Wendy, hope the hairdo looks good tomorrow. I always get nervous when a stylist gets a razor out and starts cutting hair with it. I'm thinking, how precise can that be? So you didn't get the color done? I'm betting that the hike will be a fun one and not some super duper hard cardio type thing. I'm going to relax and have fun. I like GS Legs. Doesn't have the dread that Leaner Legs has for me. Butts & Guts is a good one too. I've got more of a mind/body connection thing going with my leg workouts so they are more satisfying for some reason. You are leaving us again? Hope you can check in. We miss you when you are gone.

Debra, can't wait to help you out in the kitchen!!! Will there be wine involved too? Bet the scrapbook is pretty special to CBL. The one my DD just made is nice. She is my stepdaughter, but is and always has been a real sweetie to me. I've had her since she was 4 and she's hmmmm, 33 now. Thanks for the suggestion, I may need Stacy and Lindy to go up against the State of California. Woe unto those that stand in their way! You'll get details on the happenings, or lack of. No gloves to keep the blisters away? Guess you can always put the wine glass in the other hand. That's called modifying.

Sandra, LOL about Amy's 5th combo in her KB workout. The cast is confused? I just have never been a big KB person, yet. Who knows though. I haven't done Weight Watchers since I got sick. I looked at my Credit Card and didn't see a charge on there for it. I haven't even gotten on the scale lately, like say 3 weeks. My face isn't fatter and my clothes still fit so I'm not stressing. Guess I'm in denial. I'm kind of enjoying my mind being in a different place for a change. I was glad to conquer that first hill climb of the season. The grade is probably around 7 or 8% for about 6 miles. It's just steady, but not grueling. The climb I'll do on Monday is a bit tougher, but I'll have company for it. I just sent you a link for more Graham Watson jerseys. I ordered one tonite. It's another one with sunflowers on it. It caught my eye in the Velogear catalog that came today. Mmmmm, chocolate from around the world! Bet that was a great checkin. I have no idea who French and Saunders are. I like CC#3. Think that one has the sprints in it. I have done it out on the road on my bike. It's the pits, though, when he says to go back to a level 1 to lower your heart rate and you are on a hill. That heart rate just doesn't want to come down fast enough. I won't be buying the pullup machine from Cathe. Spent enough already on stuff. I'll just use the Bowflex lat pulldown attachment for pullups.

Nicole, glad you could pop in. Hope you can post some pics soon. Back to driving the kids to school next week?

Traci, damn that migraine!!! I command it to leave!!! When my BIL had kidney stones, they gave him pain meds in the form of suppositories as he couldn't keep anything down. So you will have to shove it up your.... I think I was traumatized as a child by my mom taking our temps with a rectal thermometer. Hated that, and oh how humiliating. I think she thought she was getting a much more accurate reading. Kids don't know how good they have it nowadays with the digital ones. I think if Wendell can eat pancakes, he can sure take care of you now. It's your turn to be the patient.

Tracy, thanks for the recap. Think you got it just right. Got anything fun planned this weekend? I need to get some stuff ready for the retreat.

Okay, gotta go. Looking forward to a more leisurely workout tomorrow, leisurely in that I don't have to keep an eye on the clock and can mish mosh as much as I want. You know how I'm the queen of that, NOT.
