Hi Ladies,

I just wanted to share with you the outcome of my dad's surgery. He went in Friday morning. Me, my mom, sister, grandma, great aunt, cousin, and brother in law were there. They reserved the operation room for 14 hours and said it may take longer. The surgeon said he would have to take my dad's whole tongue and his larnyx and we were all trying to be strong to help comfort my dad. We all said a prayer with him and they wheeled him away. My dad passed out while they were prepping him for surgery.. Anyway, The surgeon said he would be out in 2.5 hours to give us an update. They took us to the waiting room. 1.5 hours later the surgeon came in. My mom thought my dad had passed, it was awful. The surgeon said he could not find the cancer tumer. It was huge just 2 weeks ago when he had a CT scan. We all looked at the surgeon and made sure he had the right family. He said we are going to take biopsies and test his tongue, tonsils and throat tissue. They took 15 biopsies and we had to wait for an hour or soo. So we waited and hoped and prayed. The surgeon came out and said they could not find any cancer cells. The surgeon even said Miracles do happen. My mom was soo happy, we were all crying and they said my dad could go home when he got out of recovery.. It was the neatest thing ever... I just want to go on and on about it. They did say they will look at the biopsies again this week and there may be a few cancer cells. We have not heard anything yet.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, my little trip is more like a vacation and I am enjoying family and friends and even got a 6.5 mile run in and some walking lunges, push ups and calf raises today. Yesterday was an 8 mile run.

Well ladies, I am going to enjoy the rest of my trip in Indiana here..

God Bless you all!!

Thanks for listening and being there.

Beverly

Beverly,

I don't participate in the Freestyle/Lower Body threads, so I hope you don't mind me reading your post and responding. I feel like I'm going to cry, I'm so happy to read what happened with your father. That's wonderful. I've prayed for different people at different times, and it doesn't always seem to work, but I do believe that prayers can be answered, and you can't ever stop believing and trying.

Anyway, I'm very happy for you and your family.

Hi Beverly,

All I can say is GOD is good, I truly believe in miracles. When I read your post I was in tears. I missed talking too you.

Did you get P90x yet? Tamikka is starting a check in thread on Beach Body. You are going to love the series. I restarted Sunday, but going to restart on Monday. I don’t mind one bit. I’m looking good.
