Freestyle legs & Slow&Heavy

Just wondering if you get much benefit using s&h legs with the light weights for a freestyle workout, of if you're better off with another leg workout. S&H legs is on today's rotation for me, but I am interested in starting to go with lighter weights because my legs are very bulky, which leads me to another question.
I've seen with freestyle, it seems to be done each day and currently I'm doing legwork twice a week. Will I still get any benefit from it? Legs aren't my favorite body part to work and I really don't want to work them daily!!!

My legs aren't enormous, but very muscular, and am hoping lighter weights will lean them out some. Is this realistic?? Will I be able to keep the definition??

Sorry for my ignorance about this.....any help would be fantastic!!
:D
Thanks!

Hi Becky...yes, you can use S&H for freestyle, just cut back the weight to 70-75% of what you normally use to be freestyle. So if you normally use 50lbs then cut back to 35lbs. The freestyle approach works the legs 4-6 days a week. I think any working out you will benefit from, but for freestyle to be most effective it should be done at least 4 days a week...:)

Becky, I'm doing a S&H rotation right now, however, I do add an additional leg w/o during the week. My second leg w/o is more "freestyle" type (lots of reps). I feel the benefit to using S&H is the strength gains you get. To help lean your legs out more, try running.
