Cathlete
In keeping with some portion of todays general theme of "let's lighten things up a little" - here's my bit. I've been meaning to post the following for a couple of weeks now but I guess today's the day!

What's so great about the Cathe posters?

The following. In no particular order. Just wanted to express my general gratitude.

- someone knows that coconut oil will form a shell on your ice cream!

- someone knows all about HTML and how to add zip to our posts.

- someone knows something funny Cathe said in a workout. I particularly love "I'm shaking like a chihuahua". One I have in my collection of workouts is "Oooh, they're quiet back there, they think I'm gonna add on!"

- someone(s) eat M&M's while previewing new workouts. Hope you are stocked up for the 4 day split!

- someone is generous when we post about just not wanting to workout on a particular day. You encourage, and tease, and suggest short premixes, and you get us off our behinds!

- someone admits to the crazy ways they tame their hair for workouts.

- Shelley in particular has the limecat avatar which never fails to bring a smile.

- someone(s) are also parents of autistic children and know that public toilets are too loud.

- someone(s) are men who are funny and smart and add a terrific element of variety to the forum.

- someone will post a true confession of one kind or another and then we all can chime in with our own - makes the world a little smaller, in a good way.

So, this is just my thanks to all of you for coming here each day and participating. It's the variety of folks and experiences and outlooks that makes this such an interesting place.

Yes, thank you Suzanne, for a wonderful post. I myself love this forum, although, I don't post nearly as much as others, but I have learned lots of great info, and have come to love all the people on this forum.:) :)

You all are very kind. :)

I knew I'd forget a bunch of stuff so, while I was jumping around to TS#4 I thought of a few more things I learned about here on the forums.

Heart rate monitors / hemp powder / barbells / Tosca Reno and clean eating / Tom Venuto and BFFM / Frameworks / and what "bump" means!

:7

Thanks for playing!

Oh, and I just have to add that every time I do triceps I smile thinking of whoever said that they had attractive armpits from doing one particular kind of tricep move.

Gotta love it.

OK, stopping now.:p

-Someone(s) knows how to brighten and lighten our day.

Thanks, Suzanne, Shelley and the others that post threads that make us smile.

I learned I'm not the only one struggling to get my spouse to eat healthier.

I also learned I am in the minority in that I don't walk around my house barefoot on wood floors, and that I don't wear flip flops for walking. I always suspected I was weird. :p

I constantly learn useful things from some of the amazing people here.

As I type this I am eating a white bean and tuna recipe that I got from someone here!

Someone else gave me the idea to use zucchini instead of pasta when I am in the mood to enjoy a large portion of spaghetti but want to watch the calories.

Hmmm....the two things off the top of my head both have to do with food.:) At least it's healthful!

Steel cut oats
Protein shakes
Talk like a pirate day

All things I would not know about were it not for the lovely PEOPLE of this forum.

I dont post as often as others do either - but I do love my daily (well actually many times a day) visits to these forums... What an amazing group of people... and if it wasn't for my #120ish in the Road Trip scramble - could have known more in person... Alas.. maybe next year... :)

And don't bother with Kashi Go Lean frozen meals.

And really hysterical threads about exercise bras which just make me smile all day - what we do to keep the "girls" under control.

And that I'm not alone in doing illegal internet usage to read (and post!) while at work and multiple forum checks each day = OCD!!
