Form Question on Tricep Work

Hi Cathe-
I am trying to improve the shape of my tricep muscle higher up on my arm. I feel like the lower part of the tricep closer to my elbow gets lots of work, but I can't seem to get my focus on the higher end of the muscle.
Which exercises from your strength workouts should I do to work that part better? I have all of your tapes.

I feel it higher in my tricep when I do kickbacks in the bent over position, as in S&H. And, then, I feel it only when I get to the very top of the movement and really squeeze my tricp. In fact, I even give my arm a little twist at the top,as I squeeze, such that my palm is no longer facing the side of my body, but rather the cieling. I think (think) that Rhonda gives it a little twist too, but not quite as much.

See if this works for you. Still, it would be interesting to see what Cathe says. jeanne

Thanks for the suggestion about the twist. I will try that and see if it does anything.

Hi Lynn! Do lying extentions (french presses) with a barbell, and also do them with dumbells and your hands in a hammer grip. Also do seated over head extentions (one arm and two arm). Good Luck!
