Form question on Muscle Endurance...

Hi Cathe! (and knowledgable users :))

I did Muscle Endurance for the first time today and was not disappointed--what a workout! I do have a form question on the glute raise move, though. When I did this, I was feeling the contraction in my bent leg, not the leg I was supposed to keep straight, and I felt it almost exclusively in the hamstring area, not in the glutes. How should I adjust my form to feel it properly?

Thanks so much!! :)

Hi Jennifer, I'm not Cathe, but thought I'd chime in. Your suppose to feel it in the forward leg (the one that has the 90 degree bend). When you push to lift the glute you should feel it right in the insertion point of the glute and hamstring. I try to keep my posture (back leg, back, chest, head) in the same plane. The work should only be in the forward leg. I hope this helps.

PS: I agree with you this is one of my favorite workouts.

Thanks, Carmen! Glad to know I'm feeling it in the correct leg :). I think I just have to adjust a little bit to feel it in my glute area as well (it's almost 100% on my hamstrings right now!).
