A heartfelt "thank you" to all the vets out there. Many of my relatives have served in the armed forces, and one of my uncle's was killed in combat in WWII. I was privileged to attend a Memorial Day service at the American military cemetery in Holland where he is buried this past May, and it left an indelible mark on my heart. You think of your uncle as being an old guy -- my uncle was KIA at the ripe old age of 23 and I am now more than twice his age at the time of his death. I don't know why, but the realization of that really hit me.
