? for P90x Vets

I just received my series and started the lean rotation today but I think it may be wrong for me. I think I may need to follow the classic rotation instead. I have been doing Cathe for a few years, I am able to match her weight on all upper body work (1-2 exceptions) and match/exceed her weights on lower body. I just don't want to "bulk" but the lean rotation only has me doing weights twice a week plus a core syn. I am use to weights 4 days a week.

What do you think? Should I switch over to classic?

I would say YES....and do the Classic rotation first. I sometimes added weights with the Classic myself. You can always do lean the next rotation...I did it that way...:)...Carole

I'd also recommend at least starting with the classic rotation. I found it to be more balanced than the "lean" rotation (which I think was just put together as an after=thought: some weeks skip a body part!).

Don't worry about bulking: you can always do the higher rep range if you think that might be a problem for you.

After the first three weeks, you'll have a better idea of how P90X is working for you (and be over some of the intial fatigue from the intense program: I slept a lot more durng those first 2-3 weeks!), and can decide whether you want to add some more cardio (similiar to the doubles workout routine) or substitute some Cathe cardio for Kenpo, for example.

Good luck and have fun!
