Hi Kathryn/Others,

Can you recommend any advanced kickbox w/outs? Let me give you background. I have all of Cathe's, Powerstrike 2 (are the others so similar that they're not worth getting?), Eversley Forte (1 & 2), Larry Lam and K. Smith (for light days), a couple of taebo's. I have Janis Hardcore KB Circuit. I don't know what it is, but I just can't warm up to her workouts. I've tried, we just don't click.

Are there any other advanced ones out there that I'm missing. Oh, and I tried Daweii too - not for me.

If you can find them, and don't mind "not-so-great" production quality (looks like little brother got a camera for Christmas and is trying it out, especially with the earliest ones, which I wouldn't recommend for that reason), then pre-Millenium Powerstrikes are awesome! There were something like 3 series, the first was Powerstrike 1-4, the second basic and advanced (with a different series name). All totalled, there are about 10 of them. The instruction and form and great!

You have about all the ones I would recommend (Powerstrike 1 is a bit different from 2, and 3 seems more intermediate, or good for working on form, as the beginning section is a very gradual move into more complex and intense moves).

Guillermo Gomez is coming out with a kickboxing workout later this year (without Janis).

I'll look at my collection when I get home and see if there aren't some I've missed.

I tried Daweii also: didn't suit me!
 
Thanks Kathryn - I will investigate those Powerstrikes. I tried to find info on Guillermo's new workout without success. If you have that info, I'd appreciate it.

I don't know where people are getting info on it (he maybe has a site?) but it is going to be sold by CKsales, so they probably have at least a description.
