? for Cathe

Cathe,
First off I would just like to say I have purchased all of the new tapes (and most of the old) and love them all. I have a question about the static lunges. Is there a reason why you do these and not the traditional style? I have had some knee problems in the past and since doing your tapes the pain is completely gone. I'm just wondering if I'm missing something by not performing them in more than one way. If not, I'll gladly keep them up this way. Oh, and by the way, the low end segments in Power Hour are just awesome. Thanks for being such a great workout partner and Congrats on your pregnancy.

Hi Kate! I have actually done a variety of lunges (front, back, side, static etc) in all of my workouts. I believe Slow and Heavy has alternating side lunges and front lunges. I can't remember off hand right now but I know I also have back lunges in other tapes too (I think circuitmax and another). In any case, if you respond well to static lunges you can stick with them. Your safety comes before variety. If you have given other kinds of lunges an accurate and safe effort and still experience knee pains, but don't with static lunges, then yes, stick with static lunges. Good Luck!
