For all you Black Friday shoppers!

All you black Friday shoppers have more guts than I do. There's just no way. No way. *shakes head in dismay*
 
The only store I will be going to that day is the grocery store, that is only if I need something. I can't do crowds!
 
If it isn't food or I'm not on a specific mission I don't shop but I have a 13 year old daughter who loves and lives to shop. She is thrilled to the high heavens that she's been invited to do some cross border shopping on Black Friday....She'll leave home at 6:00 to hit the stores for 8:00. I just don't get it....:)

I work at Target and Black Friday truly is an amazing yet humorous event to watch. It's like a cattle herding through the door. ANd the you have the crazy people who wear matching antlers with lights on them, I guess so they can spot each other. And this particular group also wears headset walkie talkies.
They have been there every year in the 8 Christmases I have been at Target.

Unfortunately I am forced to be in the mess. Working but not shopping.
 
aww..c'mon..doesn't anyone know how to have fun? Just kidding. Ever since I began working in retail, it's just killed my desire to shop---especially on Black Friday. I don't work until the afternoon that day, but there is absolutely no way I'm getting up early to fight parking lot and store crowds. I'd so much rather spend a little more money and shop on a Monday or something.

You know some of the stores let you get the sale price on-line on Black Friday as well. Worth checking out.

The worst sale frenzy I ever saw was at Filene's Basement in Boston. The one day annual coat sale. My task for the day was to pick up coats that might have fallen to the floor. Women would see the coats I was picking up and practically kill me for them. I worked at Filenes for one day.
 
My BBF and I are out at 5 am to hit the stores. We will finish by 8 am so we can exercise!

I have to work on Friday, but I am getting up super early and hitting a few stores on the way! The only thing I am signed up to buy is a Christmas tree and all the fixins!
 
i unfortunately work-retail on fri but at least its only 5 hrs. i will sleep well thurs night! store opens extra early and people will already be lined up outside.

I sometimes head out for Black Friday madness (early bird only), sometimes not. Not sure if I will this year. Might go for the $10 DVD player. I could use a new one for my classroom. Other than that, I haven't made a dent in my shopping, but I know what I need to buy: mostly gift cards, magazine subscriptions -- things that aren't part of the big sales.

This is my first year in Indiana and I am sooooooo gonna miss going to the KOP mall on friday. I just think it is fun but I DON'T get up early to shop. I just go when I am ready.

Ahh, KOP! I never venture there on Black Fri weekend. My sis lives out there, and she told me a whole bunch of outlets just opened up nearby.

KOP - King of Prussia? I am from South Jersey and my mom and I would head there every year between T-day and Christmas. I haven't been there in so long.

Yep, King of Prussia. I haven't made the trek in awhile, either, but I wouldn't DARE this weekend! :)

Looks like I am being asked to drive the teen girls Saturday afternoon to the mall, <shudder>. I will make the best of it and do a list. Plus I am making my daughter earn it by swimming laps with me first.}(
