I don't know what to do -- I've tried switching sneaker brands, tying my laces looser, and it's still happening. It's in my right foot, starting right below my center toe and radiating up into that toe. Does anyone have any ideas or experiences? It was getting really uncomfortable doing LowMax tonight! Thanks o much!

Hi Jenny, I am in the same boat you are. I've brought and return so many pairs of sneaker it isn't funny because of the numbness. I get it in my left foot. I only had luck with 2 brands and that is Avia and Freddy's sneaker. I even have 2 different styles in both brand and they are fine. Another brand that doesn't bother too much is the 609 New Balance. I guess all it takes is some trying them out in your house and if it feels funny then return them and try a different brand. Good luck:)

You must be pressing on a nerve somewhere. I find the same thing happens to me esp. if I wear a thicker sock. It's so hard for me to find a pair of sneakers that fit. When I try them on at the store they feel great. The test is how they feel during the middle of a strenuous workout. I also noticed by the time I break them in and they feel comfortable, they need to be replaced!x(

This has happened to me recently. I was wearing Nike Cross Training Shoes and my left foot would go numb. Sometimes I would not wear socks and they would be fine. My conclusion was that my shoe was not wide enough near the front of my foot. I switched to Nike Shox Crosstraining shoe which is wider and I went up 1/2 size. I don't have problems with numbness in my foot and now I can wear thicker socks.
