Can you grill a bunch of chicken and the freeze the extra for use later? I will grill a bunch and put the extra in the fridge, but I often forget about it and then it goes bad.

Absolutely! I double-bag my chicken in freezer bags and try hard not to forget about it as it doesn't seem to do very well for long. Also, I tend to use frozen chicken in dishes with sauces or mixed with other stuff (like tacos, etc) as it doesn't seen to taste quite as good after it has been frozen. But it does work, and it is better than wasting it!

I marinaded and grilled a bunch of chicken that was 'reduced for quick sale', cut it up, put it in ziplock baggies, and froze it. I wanted it for salads. After a week in the freezer it was kind of dry, but it still tasted good. It probably would have been better if I had put the individual baggies in a freezer ziplock. But next time, I'm just going to cut it up raw and freeze it. It would cook quickly that way and probably taste much better.

We do this all the time. DH buys it in bulk at Costco, grills it and we freeze it. It's great for pulling out on busy school nights for a quick meal and I love being able to get a chicken breast out for lunch w/ a veggie. Like the other girls said, it's not as good as fresh but I'm all for anything quick and healthy.

Sure

You bet. Double bag (as mentioned above.) and when you defrost it you can either rinse it in a little vinegar or lemon juice to remove the freezer taste from the outside of the chicken.

Thanks everyone. Next time chicken is on sale I'm buying a bunch, grilling it, and freezing it. I love chicken but find it a hassle to cook just one an individual breast for myself.
