foam rollers revisited

I spent some time this weekend getting caught up on my fitness reading and what did I find!?! A great article from SHAPE Aug "08 on foam rollers, specifically regarding the piriformis and tensor fascai latae! I was excited to have pictures and a list of stretches in black and white.
(BTW~Thanks to all of you who previously helped me out with my questions about rollers/tennis balls! :D)
An interesting point in this article was that we often don't get the results in our butts because of tightness in these muscles. He claims that you can't fully activate your glutes if these hip muscles are too tight. The recommendation was to stretch and roll the hip muscles 2-3 times a week in order to see better rear results.
Did anyone else see this article? Have you tried it and noticed any change?

Also, Cathe received several shout outs over the summer. I'd never seen her name mentioned in a mass market publication before. I think she was in a few letters to the editor as well as an actual article. Very cool! Although it scared me when it said she had 112 exercise videos out! :eek:Not sure if that's before or after STS, but oh boy! I have a lot of buying to do!!!!

Wait -- you mean Cathe was mentioned in a magazine? What d'ya' know? Hope Shelley sees this thread! I should check out the stuff on the rollers. Thanks for the info!
