Flood workout woes!

Hello all! I haven't been able to check the site for a week because my house flooded!! It has been very exhausting dealing with it all. But we have cleaned up most everything and are getting some what back to normal. I have had a hard time controlling my eating. Whether from stress, or just poor self-control, it is really getting to me! I managed to go walking one evening, and then did crunches, push-ups, leg lifts, planks, squats and lunges (without weights) because my TV and DVD player weren't in operation. Yesterday I plugged in a little TV/VCR we have and did Janis Safell's kickboxing tape. I only have Cathe on DVD, so this has been VERY difficult for me. I am having serious Cathe withdrawals. My DH promised to try and get the DVD hooked up again tomorrow by the time I come in from work! I CAN HARDLY WAIT! I was so excited to view the pictures from the upcoming DVDs. Just the motivator I need right now. I have missed everyone's posts so much!! Glad to be back on line and soon back to Cathe!

Oh goodness, I feel for you! Welcome back to the forum. I remember when my computer crashed and I was cut off for a week! It's so good to be reconnected! I wish you and your family the best in dealing with the flood damage.

Awww!

Lynn, I am so sorry to hear of your flooding. I know what you are going through as my twin sis had the same thing happen....BUT, get this...it took them forever to get everything repaired, painted, new flooring and carpeting and they finally had it all perfect. She was so excited to have it all done and fresh & new. They left on a cruise for a week and it happened AGAIN!!! (the day after they left) I could have cried for her. Needless to say, when they got home, she did cry & cry! Not sure what your problem was??? Hers was a faulty toliet that kept running. They THOUGHT the problem was fixed. Sorry don't mean to take away from your story. Just wanted to say my heart goes out to you andI hope that your DH can have that DVD player all set to go for you tomorrow. Keep us posted. A BIG hug to you!

Lynn- I am so glad you are back!!!!! I am so sorry about the flooding. I just had to tell you after you told me you lost 12 lbs. on WW's and are cut, I joined online. I am so happy I did!!! I lost 3 lbs. my first week, I weighed in this morning. I know my first week will be more, but I kept in my points all week, had protein, lots of good fiber, I am really happy. Thanks for the great advice, and glad you are back!!!

Lori,
Thanks for the encouragement! So glad to hear that WW is working for you. I have been on maintenance and am at week 6 to be a life time member, but haven't been able to weigh in d/t work and flood. But, I'll get there! I am back on track today with eating. Bought plenty of fresh vegs, fruits, ww meals, and yogurt. Was not starving all day at work and turned down other "not so healthy yummy choices". One of the girls at work which I gave ww info to several months ago told me today that she has lost 21 lbs. She started around 250lbs. and I am SOOO proud of her. She has just been beaming at work! I've never seen her look so happy! I'm taking her more recipes and stuff this week. Please keep me posted on your journey.

Thanks to everyone for your support! This forum and you all are one of the things that keeps me motivated. After reading a few posts I always wanna jump up and work out!!!
