Flax- Oil v. Capsule

I am so full of questions tonight! I know that ground flax seeds probably provide the most health benefits. Do the oil or capsule versions have any advantages? Is one better than the other.

THANKS!
Gina

From what I've read, it is the heating process to convert the flaxseed into oil that takes away the good polynutrients which is why I only use ground flaxseed. I am not real sure what would be better between the oil and capsules...???....:)...Carole

Flax oil is cold pressed so that heat does not destroy nutrients. The store where I purchase it keeps all of the choices refrigerated.

I don't know anything about the capsules, but suspect you can get the same benefits. Why not chose the form of flax seeds that you're most likely to use consistently?

I also recommend fresh ground flax (and, if you can, get "golden flax," which tastes better, IMO. Now foods sells it (a brand carried in many health food stores).

Between oil and capsules, I'd say that capsules would have less of a chance to go rancid because the oil is sealed in. Otherwise, flax oil can spoil much quicker than whole flax seeds.
