Flat belly!

Hello Cathe,
I am 33 years old, 5foot 4 inches and weigh 115 pounds currently. I started at 150 pounds, post pregnancy (around 1 year after having my baby) and through exercising, (mostly Cathe DVDs :)), have been able to come down to my current weight. in a span of around 1 year.
I don’t want to loose any more weight. I have really leaned down on my arms, legs and butt areas, BUT my tummy area is still very very flabby. Even though I have gone down in my pant sizes, I still have a muffin top and am starting to get very frustrated with it!, or if I wear a dress, i still lokk, 2 to 3 month pregnant:confused:
So this my question, what can I do to loose my belly fat ( I don’t even want a 6 pack, I just need a flat belly!!) , without loosing any more weight.
Thank you ,

Krupa

Hi Krupa,
I agree with Gettingfitmom. I'm going to steal a quote from Jamie Eason (bodybuilding.com); "abs are made in the kitchen"!

I can say from experience that eating clean isn't easy but it's worth the effort if you want to see results. I started the process by writing down my food intake.

Good luck!

clean eating! enough said. Hard to do to...

Thank you gettingfitmom and Justina. I do understand the importance of clean eating. But, the thing is, I thought I was eating clean:confused: !!!!
Clearly, I was not eating clean enough. So how does one define clean eating? Where do I start? What do I eat? What don't I eat? Is there an article/ book that you could suggest to help me learn more about clean eating? And about how to not loose weight, but tone up the belly?

Thank you :)

Lots of kickboxing is a sure fire way to trim up the belly and luv handles. Clean eating will melt the extra weight off.
I have all the eat clean books and cook books by Tosca Reno and the 3 clean eating cook books from Robert Kennedy Publishing. I love the recipes and my DH never complains. He loves eating clean. Some recipes ate cleaned up versions of old favorites.
The only adjustment I make is that I try to eat as raw as possible 70% of time so that I don't denature the enzymes in veggies. For example, I germinate or soak split peas for 8 hours in a jar. Then, warm up some vegetable broth and bay leaf. Next, add thin slices of carrots, celery, and onion. Add the peas, warm up briefly never boil or simmer! then remove bay leaf and put the soup in my blender and smooth out. Yummy!
Don't eat refined foods and avoid white flour and white sugar.
