Flab Blaster - 1/9

Good morning everyone. I hope all you folks out there in the NE are keeping warm. My insomnia is back full force, and I only had 3 hours of sleep last night. The good part is I got to do my workout (Step Blast) very early in the morning and had enough time to sit with my boy and have a chat with him before his father took him to school.

My legs are beat! While doing Leaner Legs yesterday I realized that after more than 2 months of concentrating on strength training, my endurance is shot and I'll have to work on it all over again.}( It's a miracle how I still got to do Step Blast with these aching quads. Adrenaline maybe?

Tracy, I kinda feel sorry about bringing up that "cutlet" thing. But like you said, you can't take a guy like Wayne Lucas seriously. He's a guy in dire need of a haircut and some snazzy clothes himself.:)

ShyWolf, I'm sorry to hear about your father. I'm sending good thoughts to both him and you.

Sabine, like you I'm having sinus problems. I pretend this nasty post-nasal drip is non-existent, but in the back of my head, I keep hoping I won't have to go to the doctor for antibiotics. This is why I'm not fond of this time of the year. You're wise about taking a break.

LoriSax, today's another day. You can start over. I ate some fries two nights ago. I think they're just beginning to show up on my tummy. New flab over old flab. I'll have to up my cardio sessions next week... If you feel you need to go up to 2000 calories a day to get fit, then do it. I was reading a book about abs last night, and by the book's calculations, I can only eat 1390 calories AT MOST if I want those cut abs. I don't think so. I earned my muscles by eating, thank you very much. And eat I will.:7

LoriHart, I admire you for doing Bootcamp. That workout strikes fear into my heart.

depending on if the workmen are still here I may do MIC in the basement later. If they leave I'll do Power Hour.
Pinky, how do you manage on 3 hours of sleep? Can you get a nap later today? At least you got your workout out of the way.

Still sticking to the Zone- doing pretty well nutritionally.

Good Morning everyone,

Taking yesterday off was just what I needed. For the time being, the sinus pressure has disappeared, as has the headache, and the body doesn't feel quite so achy. So, this morning I did one of my virgin workouts that I got at the YaYa's swapmeet, CIA 2K05 Cardio Parties with Franny Benedetto. What a fun workout! She does some pretty interesting choreography and cues really well. I was pretty much able to do the whole step workout the first time through. You know how you are going through a workout and you don't necessarily think you're working out all that hard and when you're done you're shocked at how soaked with sweat you are and how energized you feel? That was me with this workout. Because this a two workouts on one tape, the next time I need to do a floor cardio I'll try her hi/lo workout.

Speaking of hi/lo, what exactly does that mean? I mean I know it refers to floor aerobics but doesn't the name imply that you do some of the moves high impact and some of the moves low impact? I was thinking back to Step Jump and Pump and some of Cathe's other workouts that have hi/lo and realize that she pretty much just does high impact. Where's the low? Does she get to call it hi/lo because you can modify some of the moves to low impact? But let's face it, some moves you just can't modify to low impact without doing something completely different! I guess that's why I prefer Christi for floor cardio as I feel she is truly hi/lo by what I understand it to be. Does what I'm saying make sense? What do other people think?

Pinky, hope the insomnia was just for last night and that tonight you sleep like a baby. Way to go on the energy level for getting as little sleep as you did.

Brenda, what type of work are you having done at your house? BTW, do you still need recommendations for a new DVD player? I have two issues of Consumer Reports were they rated DVD players and can give you their recommendations if you like.

Lorisax, I agree with everyone else that you shouldn't beat yourself up over your eating indulgence yesterday. It's bound to happen form time to time and with all your hard work, you deserve to enjoy yourself occasionally. Today is a new day so start again. Remember, eating, as well as fitness, is a journey for life, not a race.

Lorihart, if you can do Bootcamp with those cardio segments in between you are a true goddess (and I know you can do it). Way to kick it up a notch.

Hey everyone - hope you are all having a great day! This is going to be a short one from me as I am in the middle of baking bread (yes that's right I eat BREAD!)
As I mentioned yesterday, I was dreading today's workout - but I am happy to report that I did it. Leaner Legs followed immediately by intervals 1-5 of IMAX. My legs are jello! Thankfully tomorrow is CTX upper body so I don't have to use my legs too much.

Thanks for your words on my father, we don't know what stage his cancer is at until next week when he starts hormone treatments with the oncologist but his lymph nodes are inflammed and look very suspicious. Luckily we know now what is going on and his treatment will begin shortly . It's just a big shock though.

Today I was not able to fit in a workout once again as my carpet has been pulled up in my exercise area and we are waiting for the insurance adjustor for all the water damage to be assesed.
It seems that things must happen for a reason - eh?
I also had to go to see my doctor and found out the pain I've been having in my left heel is due to plantar fasciitis/bone spur plus I need to see a nuerologist since I also have numbness and tingling in that foot.

Sigh....
This coming week I WILL follow my rotation plan LOL
 
Thanks ladies for your vote of confidience and I did it!:) My friend called me this afternoon and wanted to know if I wanted to come over for dinner.(our hubbys are gone to the cabin together)I said,sure...but I have to work out first.I didn't start until 5:25 and now it is 7:15.I did 7segments of bootcamp and runs in between.The run ended up being a 50 min run.I would of loved to finish the last segment but she is waiting for me to pick up dinner and she is pregante so I don't want to keep her waiting to long.
Now I won't feel so bad about the choc. fondue we are having:9
