Fitness Magazine -Best Videos???

Did anyone see this pathetic list of videos? I was so disgusted that I threw the magazine away without looking at another page. (That is some serious disgust, let me tell you!) Any video list that is completely beginner based has no place calling itself "The Best Videos of 2001" -DO these editors have a clue what serious exercisers want?
Yuck!

I agree with you! While some of them may be good for less experienced exercisers, I was shocked that cathe wasn't on the list! What other fitness mags do you read? I hope fitness isn't going soft on us! I read shape, fitness, self, and I've started to read Muscle and Fitness HERS. I think Oxygen is way too much advertising. Anyway, who decides that these are the "best videos"? Obviously not the readers!

I can't believe them either!

I saw Cathe listed once a while back for either BodyMax or the PS series...I personally think that the CTX series was remarkable-a relatively new concept that is perfect for the "active family woman" that many of the popular magazines are targeting...but what do I know, I've only been doing videos as my primary workouts since 1995! But now you know why magazines such as Runner's World had reported that videos are not intense/long/hard enough to produce lasting results/weight loss. If they were looking for videos are Wally World or Target...it's understandable...but if they used the ones the devoted vidiots choose, they'd sing a different tune!

RE: I can't believe them either!

What did they base their criteria on...Collage Video sales? That certainly makes the article suspect! Or sales based on the large distribution companies?

This is why I am so thankful that I am capable of maintaining and using my critical reasoning skills.

I tossed mine in the trash and I doubt I will ever buy it again after reading that garbage. What a JOKE!!!!

I agree - I don't subscribe to Fitness anymore - I got it as a free promotion and I find it lousy. I think they base these lists on sales, sales, sales. I have a relative in the Magazine business and we were talking about cosmetics. She once told me that the Magazines run those how to articles and feature name brands for sales - not reader benefits! Buyer beware.
