I was wondering if anyone has used this website to help them with weight loss? It costs $19.95 so I want to make sure I wouldn't be wasting my money! I am trying to get rid of 10 stubborn pounds that I've just gained since the holidays. I have been doing Cathe for years but have a problem with my eating habits.
Thanks, Kathi

Hi Kathi,

If you keep your log online, I believe it's free. I bought the download for $19.95 and I love it. It has graphs, food logs, food search, activity log, activity search, weight log, body measurments log, mood log, diary, calender and lots of other things. There is also an item to help you set your goals...and it opens up to a full screen if you want. I had been using Weight by Date Pro for a few years and I felt so limited with it.

The part I like most, is that there is plenty of room for you to enter your info. The first day I used this program I was having a horrble day! When I filled out the mood log, my smiley face was angry, pouting and green! That changed my mood.:)

DeeDee, Thank you so much for the quick response and all the info. I think this is probably what I need. I haven't ever had any kind of a weight problem until now! I'm thinking it might be my age "44" or maybe my bad eating habits catching up with me.

Hi Kathi

I've only used the free on line version and I don't know how the one you pay for compares.

I find it somewhat time consuming to use all the time, so I generally use it when my weight loss plateaus and I need to get a feel for how many calories I am taking in. In other words, I use it to get me back on track.

I love the weight loss graph feature, which tracks back up to a year. When I hit those plateaus, it's nice to see where I was last year at this time to remember just how far I've come.

take care

I've been using it online for about 6 months and I really like it. Once you set up your foods, it is not time consuming at all. When you first start and have to set up your foods, that takes awhile. But I tend to eat the same things so updating on a daily basis is quite fast. I have also looked at purchasing the home software. The only reason I haven't is I can update my journal from work, as I eat.

Good Luck,

Diana

I love fitday also. I've been using it on and off (mostly on) for almost a year now and found it really helped me realize how much I was actually eating. When you have to put in everything you eat, it helps curb the cheating (for me anyway). I don't want to have to put in an Oreo lol. I also use the online exclusively for the same reason Diana mentioned-convenient to be able to enter info from any computer.

I used this sight for the first time today and really like it. I can't believe all the calories I consume from just picking! I know now more than ever I have terrible eating habits & I think keeping track of everything I eat (especially the calories) will help me a lot.
