Hi all, apologies if this has been discussed already, but I have only just discovered www.fitday.com. You can use this site to track what you eat each day, and it instantly works out calories, and grams or percentages of protein/carb/fat. It looks really useful. Does anyone else use it? If yes, has it helped to clean up your diet?

I've been using for over a month now and I love it. Every day I go in and log what I eat and my exercise. I like that it breaks down the carbs and proteins I eat. It has helped me "clean up" my act a lot personally! I notice those days I don't log on I tend to not eat very well either! Hope you like it too! Susan
 
I've also been using it for about a month and found it to be a great help clean up my diet.I am amazed at how out of balance my diet is. (carbs vs protein, etc...)

It's a really neat site that you can enter your entire food intake into. The site will count calories and tell you how you are doing with Carbs, Fat & Protein. There is also a weight & activity tracker and reports to see how you are doing.

What an eye opener - Just because it's low fat doesn't mean
it's good for me! :) (Such as Skittles and pop!)
 
I have been using this site for about a month I think. I love it! Has helped me get control of my eating. Plus, you can really plan better. I sometimes use it in the morning or the night before to plan what I will eat. Then you can see the tradeoffs w/carbs, protein etc. and make the best decisions for the day!

I love it as you don't have to think a whole lot! You don't have to keep track of all the calories of each thing. It does it for you.

You can also enter your own custom foods. I have entered all of my protein drinks, protein bars, yogurts, and many other foods I eat all the time. Then you just pull them down from the custom menu each time you want to add them.

I do wish they kept a comprehensive list of recent foods ate. It is kind of a pain in that you have to scroll thru the many pages of recent foods if they weren't the very MOST recent food you ate. They are sorted in order of recency of use I think??

I agree it has helped me see where my fat and other bad stuff is coming from. Didn't realize how much my eggs in the morning throw up the whole day of fat! uuuuggghhhh!
 
After reading this thread I went to check it out and started logging in my diet and then when I went to my activities, I noticed there was not a catergory for step or kickboxing. What do I do?
 
I there! I actually e-mailed "fitday" and suggested they add kickboxing and stepping! No reply however. Since I use Cathe I just click on "aerobics,high impact". Hope you like it! Susan
 
Hi Susan,
I still can not find aerobics, high impact. Is it under browse? When I try to type it under search it pulls up nothing. What am I missing here? Thank you for your help!!!!:)

I found the aerobics, high impact, but I was wondering don't we burn more than 361 calories? I thought it was more around the 500 range. What do you think?
