Fit for Xmas - 12/18

Hi everyone -

Thought I would start today. Last night was a late night got home at 11:20 but was up at 4:45 and did Perfect 10 with Margaret.

The Red Wings game was great, we won in OT. Yes it is a Hockey game for the person that asked.

Lori - I work in Ann Arbor at the UofM but live in Stockbridge (20 minutes north of Chelsea).

If I am awake tonight I plan on doing a cardio routine. I was a carbo junkie yesterday. Started with a bagel, ate some rice krispie treats, had pizza for dinner, and whatever else I could get a hold of yesterday. So this week has been a lost cause so far in the eating category. I am hoping to do better today. I guess TOM does that to me and then I get so mad at myself for giving in and eating yucky things.

Good Morning. I am tired today. I don't know why, but I am. I took a quiz in Redbook last night, and it said I was suited to Zone eating. I know alot of yuou erat the Zone way!!!! Today I am doing some of SB, and then the LB Blast from SS. Hope everyone has a good day!!!!

Whoa Rhonda, working out on 5 hours sleep. whoa. Glad your team won - nothing like it. Just consider yesterday carbo loading for all your workouts :) :)

Lori you do a LOT of working out. I can see why you get tired. I would not be able to do any squats after step blast. I'll be interested to see you you like the SS lower body blast.

Well I got Kari Anderson's angles lines and curves 1 and I tried it last evening. HMMMM way different then what I'm used to. I rather enjoyed it, but wasn't very graceful. Guess its like everything else - takes practice.

This morning I got up full of energy and did IMAX2 on an 8" board!! I haven't done that in a L O N G time. Now I really did modify some of the very last intervals - but not excessively. I'm wondering how I'll feel tomorrow...I followed IMAX 2 with AM Yoga I start with the stretch, skip all that breathing. This is a nice after workout stretch for me.

Joy- I do not think I work out alot. I used to be so diligent on working out 6 days a week, now I workout alot for 5. I only did the SJP All Step premix, and the SS Lb Blast. The SS LB Blast was hard!!!! My legs are cooked. I have been following JillyBean's premix rotation she posted in the rotation forum, and it is fun.

Checking in late today. Today is my day to work at one of the elementary schools in our district providing classroom instruction on social skills and impulse control to kids in grades 1 & 2. With the winter break just a couple of days away it made for some very hyper and excited kids (and adults too). So much for impulse control!

I did manage to do Pure Strength Legs and Abs yesterday afternoon after the UPS guy showed up with my Body Blast DVD's. It went really well even though I had added 5# to my barbell. The first time I did this with MIS, my legs were really sore the next couple of days. I am pleasantly surprised that while my legs, especially the glutes, are sore today, it is not that unpleasant. Seems like I'll make it after all with the new weight.

Today, therefore, is a scheduled day off. Still have to do some housework such as dusting, vacuuming, and laundry so I think I will get some form of movement in. Tomorrow is Firm BSS2 Complete Aerobics with Weights which is not that strenuous. I'm looking forward to the lighter workout.

Eating has been tough for the past few days. Yesterday was treat day so you can imagine the amount of carbs, candies, and other fatty stuff floating around. Was able to eat a healthy dinner so that was good. I'm getting ready to leave on Monday to spend the week with my family so I'm trying not to buy new food which means I'm either eating what I have at home (which isn't much and certainly isn't the best stuff) or am going out (like today for lunch was Chinese). I'm cutting myself some slack with the diet, at least until after Christmas. I know I'll reel myself back in once all the temptation is behind me.

Hope everyone else is doing well. I figure we all have a huge advantage in that we are all trying to keep exercising during this time. Some people abandon it all together and wonder why the New Year is such a rude awakening. We all ROCK!!!

BTW, Brenda has 3 sick children to take care of right now which is why she hasn't been here. She has asked us all to do some extra reps for her:7 .

Brenda!! We miss you!!! Three sick kids is alot!! My kids are older now, so I do not have some of the same things you girls have. I can remember on Easter weekend, many years ago, my son was about 3, and my daughter one. Both of them got the flu, the both ends flu, it was terrible. Five days of two sick babies. I slept in the living room with them on the floor, it was terible. I have pics of my daughter in her high chair coloring easter eggs looking like death-warmed over. I miss those days though, when they are little and still love you, sit on your lap....All right, I am getting naceous.

The workout I did yesterday was a killer. I did SJP all step premix, and SS LB Blast. My legs are sore today, espically my hamstrings and glutes. Today is SS UB Blast. I am looking forward to that. I love to work my UB, and I love the outfits the girls wear in that one. They all look teriffic!!!

Eating has been hard for me also. My husband has 2 boxes of chocolate candies. BIG boxes. Weds. I fell off the wagon, hard. Yesterday I ate good all day. Tomorrow I have 2 Christmas gatherings. I am just going to try to excercise portion control. I see so many ladies on here who eat what they want, but excercise portion control. I have been on a diet for the last 8 years, and I still have 10 lbs. I could lose. My New Year's resolution is to learn how to eat healthy, and not always being on a diet. I have to learn that if I have a chocolate candy that does not mean my whole day is shot, and pig out, and eat like crap. I know I am going to succeed at this. I have been working on it since about the end of Oct., and I think I have had only 2 bingeing days. I have not weighed myself in that long either, but my clothes feel good. My UB looks more defined even. Soon, I am going to weigh myself. Just not right now.
