Fit for Tday Wednesday

GOOD MORNING!

OK....today.....the goal is simple. EAT RIGHT!

CONTROL!

I lost it the last 2 days. WHY? Not so sure!

But it stops NOW!

OK....I feel better now.

This morning's workout was Rhythmic Step and I LOVE that workout! I didn't have time for abs......today is my older DS' 11th BDay and he wanted his 'big' gift early, so I cut out abs to make him happy!

Time to get a few things done around the house. Basketball practice tonight.

Hi all!

I have my weekly killer workout coming up, as soon as I've digested my oatmeal.

I recently discovered that Candace Grasso (she did one of the Cardio Coach workouts) has a little fitness segment on the local news station on Saturday mornings. A couple weeks ago she suggested this little strategy for keeping your eating on track:

If you find yourself about to engage in mindless eating, (like with a spoon and a jar of peanut butter, leaning on the kitchen counter), put the food away for two minutes. She had a sort of mantra that you were supposed to say out loud, which I don't remember, but it was something like, "I can choose to eat the peanut butter if I want to. But I understand that I am choosing NOT to meet my goals for another day. I am deciding that the peanut butter is more important than my (specific goal)".

Maybe peanut butter is a bad example. Sometimes PB really IS more important than my goals! But the idea is that by consciously acknowledging what you're doing, you talk yourself out of it. It probably sounds dumb, but it's actually been very helpful to me over the last few weeks. I also make myself do some push-ups or sit-ups, not many, just enough to reconnect with my body and focus on fitness.

I like that idea AFREET I will try tonight when I am doing my usual mindless munching!!! No workout again this am but NEED to tonight. Yesterday I ended up taking a rest day to see my lil peanut nephew how could you resist this little guy ??

And I can't even get the picture on here but he is in his little tigger costume for halloween

I like the idea also Lisa/A. Most of the time all we need to do is stop and think it through before we shove it in. I'm going to make a conscious effort to do that also.

I was able to click the second link and get the pic, eriniski. He's adorable but the pic was so small I couldn't see too good. ;)

Today is my annual check up and pap. I can hardly wait.

hey ladies. been doing really well and feeling good. this morning i did a 30 minute jog on the treadmill at 6.5mph and then followed it with the upper body and core portion of the new squeeze workout. if you ladies haven't invested in this video i highly recommend it.
sounds like you ladies are doing great and i will try that tip on mindless eating.
banslug: i like that you got right back on the wagon after a slip up. thats the right mindset to make healthy eating stick.
