Good morning ladies. Figured i'd start of todays thread.
This morning had a great full body workout. Each exercise was supersetted and i did 4 sets of 8-12 reps.
Pushups ss stationary lunge
seated row ss hamstring curl
skull crushers ss inner thigh ball squeeze
bicep curl ss standing outer thigh work with band
lateral shoulder raise ss single leg calf raise
abs ss low back extension

It felt great! Well i'm off to my new rotation. I will let you all know how i make out! Have a nice day.
 
Hi! Sounds like a good workout, Kariev!

I started the day with my kettlebell workout (I'm on a honeymoon with kettlebells right now), and I managed the whole thing with my 12KG KB! Up from my 8KG KB! And it totally kicked my a$$.

I reviewed my nutritionist's notes and recommendations yesterday, to re-energize my motivation. I had a delicious power smoothie for breakfast, and I have a nice clean lunch packed for today. BUT...

I got to work at 6:30 this morning and someone had already put out 3 plates of cookies. Why? I'm not especially tempted (willpower is strong on Monday), but HOW DID ANYONE EVEN GET HERE already with three plates of cookies? I swear, I think I might be secretly on a reality show.
 
good morning T-dayers!

I'm frantically pacing around trying to find my drivers license for my trip today! I can't find it anywhere! Last I remember having it was saturday when I went into the office, to lunch, the grocery store and to get gas... didn't need it at any of those places, so not exactly positively sure I had it, but as I don't think I took my entire computer bag (with all the goodies in the card slots inside) I can't remember when the last time I actually SAW it was! UGH! I'm panicing because if I have to go get a new drivers license (which I needed to do anyway because my name changed - got married) but now my flight is in my maiden name because I hadn't gotten to the license yet! What a pain in the a$$...

I'm getting my workout in just by pacing and my heart racing!

wish me luck & if I check in later this morning, you will know that I am still on the ground and not on my way to the Big D!

Hi girls,

I did Bootcamp this morning. It was good. I had a rest weekend and that was fine with me. I don't worry about not getting a w/o in. My goals are at least 4/week but I usually always do 5 or 6. My body does much better with rest days. :p

Lisa/SB, I didn't mean to ignore your questions before. My mind is just not that good anymore. ;) I have my smileys stored at my YUKU account and usually just open a window with them so I can grab them easily. I pick them up wherever I go.

And, yes, I do have a HR monitor but I rarely use it. I can pretty much figure out how hard I'm working by how I'm breathing. ;)

hey ladies. just wanted to say i had a great first day in my first rotation in acute care. its so much different from my last rotation (pediatrics) but in a good way. everyone is super nice and i swear i walked 10 miles today in the hospital. sounds like all you ladies had a great day. keep up the good work!

Sounds like you had a great day, likely owing to the fact that you busted out your workout early! What kind of medical person are you? I am going to to Boot Camp in the AM, just did kind of a wimpy 2 mile run today b/c I couldn't get myself out of bed.

ROFLMAO about your reality show, it will be called Baked Good Blitzkrieg: We can thwart anyone's quest for weight loss with a few strategically placed FREE CARBS! Kettlebells, huh? I have still not acquired all of the paraphernalia required for all the Cathe videos, so probably approximately 24-48 hours after I do, I will have grown tired of them, and need to move on to another exercise technique that requires more expensive and larger things :D. Just kidding, I have checked out kettlebells at the store, it looks quite promising.

I hope you are in the Texas with me now. It is really nice weather here (nice weather in Texas means it's not 100 degrees with 1000 percent humidity). When I got my married name put on my driver's license, I cheesed out and put the new card in a sappy card to my husband, he loved it, lots of mileage. Granted, I waited like 18 months to do it because I'm lazy. He jokes and says I was waiting to see if the whole think was going to work out before I waited unnecessarily in another line.

Thanks for the smileys updates. I am going to do Bootcamp tomorrow, too, b/c I got bored with Cathe's October rotation already, and started doing her Jan 08 one, broken up with runs on the days I get up late and can't spend over an hour working out because I have a job :rolleyes:. I have only done bootcamp once before, and if memory serves, it is not gentle. I love Cathe. Go Game Face!

What was your final in, I hope you rocked it!

I had a good day, I woke up late, but did get a little run in, and have had a very mindful day of eating, I debated and had a small piece of pizza for dinner and counted it as 4 points based on the box info. Right now I'm really focussing on clean eating, and really have been inspired by making the connection between the moment to moment decisions I make and their actual results. I am going to my first weigh-in on Thursday, and I am determined to have a favorable result. I'm bringing my A game this week. NO FREE CARBS. There is a drug rep lunch tomorrow, and just to make myself accountable, I am telling you guys that I am not going to eat it, it's Thai food (the commercial fattening kind with lots of noodles, MSG, meat and egg rolls and huge 12 point dinner plate sized chocolate chip cookies). I need a ball cap that says free carbs with a line through it, or a tee-shirt or something.
