FIRM CAWT

I saw this one a few weeks ago and asked around at the YaYa's forum about it. It isn't BRAND new but is one of the Good Times Firms and got a lot of good recommendations.
So even though I was disappointed with the last two Firms I bought ( Body Sculpt and Another Sculpt thing...can't keep track of the new titles at all )this one turned out to be OK.
The accent is still pretty thick and lots of WHOOO tossed in ... lots of THE STICK...THE STICK...but it wasn't annoying. Infact it was pretty decent. It's a good alternative for days when you don't want high impact and need a bit of toning. The leg work is all right, nothing too tough but not too easy. The set wasn't cheesey ( no more Roman figures )The reps were equal.
It still isn't as tough as the original FIRMs but better than the initial Good Times ones. I like it. If I ever get hit with the flu again...this workout will be good.
Infact I'm thinking of pulling out my old FIRMs to alternate with my Cathe's for a change. I kind of miss Susan and Tamela and Jen!

Just curious here ... but what does CAWT stand for??? Cardio and Weight Training? Something else? Thanks!

I LOVE CAWT! I am amazed that you use it as your
"flu workout". It's major tough for me. I love Emily, she is so cute and just makes you smile. I still love a lot of my Firm tapes. Did you know that the FIRM will be releasing 8 new videos in the near future? I can't wait.

CAWT stands for Complete Aerobic and Weight Training.

You may also want to try Maximum Cardio Burn. Definitely not as touch as Cathe, but is a fun workout. Allie is the lead. It is about 30-40 minutes of cardio followed by standing leg work, using the stick of course, and ab work. I really like the ab work in this one. I haven't done any of my Firms in a very long time as I've been doing only Cathe, but I'm thinking of dragging some of them out this week.

I'm also looking forward to the 8 new workouts, but I'm disappointed in the length. There will be 2 45 minutes workouts and all the rest will be 30 minutes. I heard that Lisa's cardio workout is supposed to be advanced, but we'll see. I am hoping for some tougher workouts.

Thanks! I was wondering if those were the newer ones, or the ones I already have from right after Anna sold the company. Sounds like they're the newer ones. I'm glad they're making them a bit more challenging now, because I was VERY disappointed with their first Body Scultping System, and the three pack of tapes that came out before that - the one with the Fanny Lifter. I haven't bothered to try any of the ones after the first BSS, but it's nice to hear people are pleased with their newest efforts. Thanks again!!

Wow! It sounds like I may have to give them another chance! Not that I'm not having a blast with Cathe, but I used to love the Firm. I still do love my original ones, even though I rarely drag them out. Thanks for the heads-up, everyone!

I stopped too after the first set with that Fanny lifter but they said CAWT was good and it did surprise me...so the Maximum Cardio Burn is atleast a good 45 minutes of cardio? I might check that one out too...it's not step is it? I'm trying to look for alternatives to step.

I just looked at the cover of Maximum Cardio Burn. It says 35 minutes of cardio which, yes does include some step segments as well as climbing the Fanny Lifter. It then has 6 minutes of standing leg work with the sculpting stick which would work fine with an unloaded barbell or even ankle weights. Followed by 6 minutes of abs which I really like. And then, of course the stretch. It says the workout is 55 minutes total.

I have the last DVD set (the ones with the fanny lifter and the weighted bar). Would anybody be interested in buying those? They just aren't something that I'm really interested in. I sure had high hopes, but personally they just aren't for me.

Thanks, Marcia.
