Your tricep muscle is shaped like a horseshoe. So some exercise work the whole thing, and some exercise work the "ends" of the tricep, what would be the heads on a horseshoe.

LOL you are right! How could I get that wrong. Once she says horseshoe I'm off thinking *what the H? There she goes with that horseshoe thing again. I need to find out what she means.* So glad I finally posted, now I can just enjoy the workout

I'm still confused by the 2 pic links here. Shelly... in that diagram you posted... what is in the white part with no name? I can see the blue part of the diagram looking like a horseshoe just fine, and the legs are what attaches to the elbow. Then I look at pinky's link and don't see the same thing. Oh well, I'm making this harder than it needs to be. At least I know what she's talking about now. THANKS!

Hi,
I found another site with a picture of the triceps. It is a muscle with three "heads" or parts. The tendons are the part that attach the muscle to the bone which I think is that white part you are talking about (the tendon goes down to the ulna bone of the forearm).
