Finally!!! A Bathing Suit!!

Is it entirely ridiculous to be this excited over it? :p Now I don't have to look aaannnnnymore. HUZZAH!

So, it's Nike, tankini with boy bottoms, black with pink racing stripes. Both DH and my mothter have given it the thumbs up. Got it at Kohl's. :D

I love the boy bottoms (only type I wear). They're SO comfortable and I never feel like I'll lose them when I dive in.

Dallas, they DO. That's why I wear them. The boy bottoms are flattering and girly but don't ride up or expose those things you wish to keep under cover for modesty. :p

Thanks Sparrow!! I went to the early bird sale this AM, mainly for my boys, but because of your excitement yesterday I made my way to the bathing suits. I even tried on the boy bottoms too. I liked them! I was surprised. I still have my VS bikini from last year if dh doesn't like it. I think I'll keep it even if he doesn't. lol }( Hey, jumping around in the pool (with the kids) I need bottoms that will stay where they need to stay! :p

I have a bathing suit w/boyshort bottoms that I bought for my honey moon 3 years ago. Obviously when I purchased it, I liked it but now??? BLECH! I think it makes my legs look MUCH heavier than a regular bikini bottom. I have never had slim legs...they have always been a little on the "thick" side no matter what shape I am in...I'm jealous of anyone whose legs are slim enough to look good in a boyshort bathing suit!}(
 
I like boyshorts, too, but with all glute/leg work I've been doing, I'm getting a new bikini and SOMEONE had better take me to a beach, any beach, this summer.

It feels so good to find a swimsuit you love, doesn't it?

Funny! I like the boy bottoms 'cause I think they show off my legs, which are strong and muscular! :D My backside too, which is kind of high and round.

Even when I was at my most rail-like (back when I was starving myself, yikes) I didn't like wearing regular bikinis. I can't get past the fear that things are gonna burst forth....

I really want a new bathing suit. I'm looking for one with a halter-ish type top and board short bottoms (not to be confused with boy short bottoms). Board short bottoms don't seem to be too easy to find, not that I've looked terribly hard.

I shall start the search soon. Oh joy. Bathing suit shopping. Seeing my white pasty body in those nice fluorescent lights. Yahoo. *twirls finger*

Sparrow ~ My dh gave me the thumbs up too! I agree, I think it accentuates the right areas! ;-) I saw your suit there. I got a halter type top w/the boy bottoms.

Now what's the difference in boy bottoms and board shorts? I thought they were the same? You guys are giving me **more** ideas!}( Oh no!;-)

I love board shorts too. With all the surf shops where I live I have no trouble finding ones I like with tops to match.
 
Good for you. There's SOOO hard to find. I haven't decided if I want to wear the one I already have or go shopping for one only to be demoralized in front of those mirrors!x(
