Felted Soap: Anyone else do this?

Been doing a lot of crocheting lately and needed a break from it. Learned something interesting searching the computer about felt soap. You felt over soap and now instead of using a wash cloth you use the soap that is felted. I used it for the first time last night and it's wonderful. Just have to message it for just a little while (like you would a wash cloth to soap up) . It's so cool. Here's a photo to give you an idea what they are.

The wool is anti fungal, so there would not be a chance for mildew or mold or anything yucky like that growing if it stays damp. I love doing this, it was so much fun and will continue to make them for a few more days.

The last small furry thing I saw in my bathroom had 4 legs, a tail and ran behind the toilet.

Glad you're having good clean fun with it though :)

That's a cute idea. :)

I have been using homemade soap lately (I don't make it. I buy it). It's the only soap I like otherwise I use body wash. Anyway I am putting it in what is basically a puff with a hole in it where you put the soap so it works the same way as the felt.

Enjoy!

I think you might like the felted soap. Very easy to do, even a young child can do it. All you have to do is get some wool roving what ever colors you want. Wrap it round the soap until you can't see soap anymore. Place it into a footie twist it wrap around again. Get it wet in very hot water. Place in a plastic sandwich bag and seal it. Now, just agitate it for about 5 min. going in different directions all the time. Take it out and let it dry on a rack. That's all there is to it.

I make handmade soap and they are being used in the felted soap above. There is nothing like it on the market. So glad to here that other people use handmade soap.

Enjoy,

Janie
