Fell on the ice - hit my head

It's icing here in Georgia. I went to walk the dog and the pavement was just wet and then BAM - I hit ice and my feet went out from under me and my had cracked on the pavement. I saw a huge bright light when I hit.

What should I do to make sure I don't have brain swelling ??
 
OMG, so sorry to hear this! Go to your doc if you haven't already! Go to ER if its after hours. Better safe then sorry. Hope you feel better!
 
I would definitely agree that you should go to your doctor. He may suggest an MRI. Believe me it is important. I know from experience.
 
That type of injury led to the death of actress Natasha Richardson...don't ignore this!!! Head trauma is SERIOUS!!!!!:confused:
 
I hope you've already gotten checked out at the emergency room by now.
As others have noted, this could be very serious.
