Fell off the exercise wagon, how should I start again?

Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a great holiday.

It has been nearly 2 weeks since I've stretched, stepped, lifted, or crunched. Before that, I exercised 4 to 5 times per week.

How do I get back on my fitness wagon? I consider myself at intermediate level. Should I start by getting out my basic step/body fusion DVD and work my way back up to IMAX2 and Bootcamp? Or do you think I can begin were I left off two weeks ago and just do what I can?

I love coming to these forums for advice. Everyone here is so knowledgeable.

Thanks.
Carmen

I took a week off not too long ago and used Low Impact Step and Basic Step to ramp back up again. I used the "add on" from Basic Step to get my muscle memory back for lifting. It only took one or two sessions of lower impact, less intensity to get right back into my old routine.

i would see how you feel with bodyfusion first than base it from there. if you no challenge then try your imax and bootcamp. when i find those to challenging see if premix options could help. i am nowhere near where i was with the cathe interval workouts so i start with the step premxies and then maybe one or two intervals after that. i am trying to build back up as i have lost alot of my cardio endurance from just slacking off.

In my experience, I've found that taking a week or two off actually HELPED me. I was able to pick right back up where I left off without having to "work back into it". In fact, after taking a week or two off, I was able to lift heavier weights and doing higher intensity cardio. It was almost as if my body needed the break to recover from all the continuous exercise.

Since I travel quite a bit, I have as much as 10 days off.

For some reason, Circuit Max is my "exercise fast breaker" if that makes sense.

I feel like I am getting a good, solid cardio workout combined with weights.

Just do it -- and then pat yourself on the back for a job well done!
