Feeling guilty

I am taking an unsched rest day. I just don't feel well. Headache and congestion with sore throat. Not bad but just bad enough to make me feel blah. I know if I workout I will not be able to give it my all. I also know that if I am sick that I need to let my body rest to heal. So WHY the heck do I feel so dawg gone guilty for taking the day off??? I did pylox yesterday with the beginnings of this and performed like crap and felt like even bigger crap afterwards. I told my DH that Tony's gonna be mad at me :( Ok, I know I just need to just get over it. I guess I felt like whining a bit.

thanks for listening

I think alot of us can feel like that but deep down we know it's okay and for the best to rest when we need to.

I had to take an unplanned rest day yesterday for an even more frustrating reason than being sick...sheer lack of time because I slept too late!x(

Well I initially felt guilty but forced myself to get over it.

I am making up the missed work outs anyway between today and tomorrow. I am doubling up today (morning and evening) and not taking my PLANNED rest day tomorrow. Now if I were sick I probably wouldn't even worry about making it up...I'd just pick up on the current day and forget about it!:)

All of your hard work will NOT go to waste if you have to take a few days off for ANY reason!

Hey Catherine,

I go through the same thing as many of us here do I think. Remember though that it's not the one or two workouts completed or missed that determine your fitness (or lack thereof), it's your entire lifestyle. Look at all those workout days you have stacked up...is missing one piddly routine really going to impact your fitness? Nope. So relax. Feel better. Come back strong.

thanks ladies, it just takes me a while to get over the not working out thing. Sparrow you are so right one or two workouts do not impact my overall fitness. I'll be back on track soon.
