I going to give ME a try today. I'll have my wrist wrapped and go down to 5 pound DBs or no weight at all for biceps. We'll see.

That walk yesterday was great. Real therapy for me.

How's everybody else doing?

Good Morning Jane,

Hi Rotationers!!

I too took a nice long walk outside yesterday. It was in the 50's and really felt great to be out there!

No muscle spasms in my back so far today, so that is GOOD NEWS! I was kind of thinking about trying to work the arms a little. I have TiVo'ed "I want those arms" with Tamilee Webb. It is done with light weights and I think I might be able to handle that. If I feel any stress or strain though I'll stop and just try to fit a walk in later instead.

I'm just so glad it's FRIDAY!!!!

TGIF gals! Today was Muscle Endurance. More leg presses, ugh. Tomorrow I'm supposed to run but it's super cold and windy here. Depending on what the weather's like tomorrow I might be substituting. It might be a Charlene Prickett 'Step Insanity' day.

Jane: Yesterday you mentioned that you have RA. My BIL was recently diagnosed with it. Have you found that exercise helps relieve the symptoms?

Becky: Glad to hear your back is feeling better!

I second that TGIG and I have the day off today! The downside is that I do have to work tomorrow.

TK, will we ever see the lovely weather that Jane and Becky are getting? I have a porch door that doesn't latch well and the wind is playing all kinds of games with it!

ME for me tday as well. I did a lot of day dreaming so the leg presses didn't seem too bad. Even when I'm not at work, I'm thinking about it!

TK, I'm working on Solid gold Step. I really love the music! I've figured out the first 3 or 4 combos and I'll keep on stepping!

Good evening... ME is finished and it went well. Wrapping the wrist helped and I am better today.

TK.... exercise, good nutrition and just overall fitness really helps me. Inactivity is absolute death to a joint affected by RA. Of course, you have to modify and modify when you are flaring as I have done this week but all in all, I'll take exercise over inactivity any day. My rheumatologist agrees with me. He has put limits on my running because, of course, running wears down people with healthy joints, so I have to keep my runs 5 miles or under.

Good luck to your BIL. I feel for him, RA is no easy disease to manage, it can be a bear sometimes. I've been on about everything out there and it has either not worked or worked for a while and then failed. What medicines have they started him on?

Hi Again Everyone!

Jane, good going on the workout today!! Am glad you are feeling better.

TK , do you like that CP step workout? I used to do CP workouts years ago! I just previewed Christi Taylors Totally Cool Step......OMG the choreography!!!!!!!! It'll take me MONTHS to get that down!!! Looks like it'll be fun once I learn it though- and the music is great!

Today I did "I want those Arms" with 5 & 8 pound weights, and took a walk. It was a brisk walk but not very long.......I didn't know it was so cold out and didn't really dress warm enough! Brrrrr Anyway, it's kind of a pathetic workout when you are used to doing Cathe's stuff....but I need to start back slowly.

Have a great weekend all !!:D

Hey Becky: CP's Crazy for Step (what I call Step Insanity) is the only one of hers I own. It's not hard choreography-wise but it's done on a 10 inch step and lasts for more than an hour. There's hardly a warm up, so she just gets right to business. It's tough.

I've said it here several times that I really like Christi Taylor. The first time doing any of her workouts I pretty much flail about. Either way I'm still burning calories LOL. She has a tutorial on her videos that make it a lot easier to learn the steps.

Jane: I don't know what my BIL is taking for his RA but recently he started an IV medication that he gets every so many weeks. It seems to be working for him. He does nothing for exercise and his diet isn't the best. One thing going for him is that he doesn't have any weight issues. Thing is, he teases me badly about my diet and exercise regimen so I don't hold much hope of him changing his ways.
