Favorite Smoothie Recipe

I love to grab a smoothie for breakfast, or even sometimes for lunch. What are some of your favorite recipes? I'd like to expand my horizons a bit.

8 oz skim milk
scoop whey protein
1 T peanut butter
1 T chocolate
1 T sweetner
ice

Blend.

mmmmmmmmmmm good!

A recipe I'm anxious to try appeared in a flyer for a local shopping mall. It credits "Trader Joe's customer, Elise".

Say It Ain't Soy Smoothies:

1/3 bag frozen mango chunks
1/3 bag frozen organic blueberries
1/4 cup low pulp orange juice
1/4 cup vanilla soymilk
2 bananas
1 scoop Aria Vanilla protein powder (optional)

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Add more orange juice if it is too thick.

Looks like a trip to Trader Joe's in on the horizon for me!

This is my favorite:

- 1/2 cup non fat yogurt
- 1/2 cup vanilla soy milk (add more if you enjoy a thinner consistency)
- teaspoon ground flax seed
- Cup of mixed berries (frozen)
- 1/4 teaspoon stevia or a packet of splenda
- a few leaves of fresh or dried mint (or a few dashes of cinnamon). The mint makes it so refreshing!!

*1 and 1/2 cups water
*1 cup of berries, sometimes pineapple also added
*small piece of banana that i've cut up in pieces and frozen(high in carbs)
*1 tsp berry flavour Greens Plus
*32 g (2 scoops)Vanilla Whey Protein powder
*1T. Udo Oil
*Stevia packet
*Splash of vanilla extract
*Splash of almond extract adds great flavour
*1Tsp. Glutamine for healthy colon, good muscle recovery
*4 or 5 ice cubes

So frothy and yummy, I have it every morning, very healthy, I find adding milk, chocolate etc. makes me too bloated.

1 C. Skim milk
1/4 C. FF plain yogurt
5-6 frozen strawberries
6-8 frozen blackberries (or blueberries)
1/2- 1/3 frozen banana (freeze in pieces)

Occasionally I add papaya if I have some.

BTW, I forget who mentioned the personal blender at Walmart but I picked one up and it is GREAT! (Under $14.00) Just the right size for one smoothie! I have one every morning now and it has helped me get in my dairy for the day. (Not to mention fruits too!) I am planning to pick up some flax seed to grind in my smoothies also. Ran out of flax some time ago and just keep forgetting to pick some up.
