Favorite low cal/low carb dessert?

I've been making these awesome belgian waffles w/Van's whole grain belgians & low fat frozen yogurt. The Van's go in the oven rather than the toaster, & I sprinkle a little vanilla whey powder (in place of confectioners sugar), cinnamon & nutmeg before I stick them in the oven. It comes to about 250 cals & 30 carbs.

Please share yours, I need a little variety!

I just like my yogurt mixed w/ Peanut butter for my *dessert*. My favorite low-carb yogurt is Kroger Carb Master (80 cals/ 1g fat/ 4g carb/ 12g protein) strawberry or vanilla w/ 1 T. Naturally More PB (85 cals/ 5.5 g fat/ 2g carb/ 5g protein) and mix it together. YUMMY!

Or 1/2 cup of cottage cheese mixed w/ fruit is another fav. Right now it's blueberries and fresh mulberries from my backyard! :)

Make jello, any kind, according to pkg directions. Let it set, then add a cup of cottage cheese, blend with jello and put back in the fridge to reset. Yummy. I like it with strawberry and lemon jello best but have tried several.

If I crave something sweet, I'll put some honey and almonds in 0% Fage, or I'll have an Edy's fruit bar, or a piece of fruit. But I really don't consider this dessert. Dessert is what I have only at a restaurant, and I eat every bite without feeling a bit of guilt. I do it once or twice a month, but I'd rather have the real full-fat, calorie-laden thing rarely, than the low cal version regularly.

Sugar free chocolate pudding with cool whip! Or yogurt mixed with vanilla protein powder, cut up fruit, and cool whip! Yumm! I'm actually eating that right now as my pre-workout snack!

RunningTeach,

What is lemon curd? I'm baffled.

The idea is to die young as late as possible.

Janie,

It's sort of like lemon pie filling. You can find it in the jam & jelly aisle. I prefer Trader Joe's brand. :)
