Hi Kath! Sorry to get back to you so late. Yes, it is a generation hand me down recipe. They do look like stars when they are finished. You can buy a cookie cut out to make a pinwheel shape or you can actually cut into each corner of a square dough piece, fold it back, and create a star. Yummy!
