Which is happening to me? I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I'm learning.
I've been working out pretty consistently but stepped it up in the last month. I added more cardio, mixed up the moderate to heavy weight work, and cleaned up the eating. My weight went from 130 to 126. Waist and hip area of some pants are little big/baggy. In some cases I've gone from size 10 or 8 pant to size 6 pants but it depends on the pant style. Belly area is getting flatter but I still have long way to go.
I assumed when the scale went to 126 it was body fat that I lost. But how can I tell whether I gained muscle? I actually thought the scale would go up.
