Fat Free September

Hi ladies! I'm back from vacation, so happy to be home. My nephew graduated from basic training so we went to the ceremony then drove him to his next post. it was great to see him but all the driving I could have done without. I didn't do a single workout and I'm sure I have some extra muffin top going on. I was having a hard time choosing my next rotation but finally decided on M2 upper body + M3 plyo legs. For cardio I'll walk or walk/jog and check out Cathe's new stuff when it gets released. Today I did d13, chest shoulders and tris. I'm definitely in for STS in November, just let me know the start date :)

Happy anniversary Diana! I hope it was wonderful :). Hopefully you didn't arrive home to a big mess to clean up! Nice job on finishing your 8 miles. I like that you fit in weights while doing laundry, I may try that sometime.

Ouch Tina, sounds like you're having a rough patch. how's the tooth? Congrats on the weight increase, that's always welcome isn't it? I'm glad you're liking your new AB workouts, hopefully we'll also have some new Cathe WOs soon :)

Welcome home Sue! Glad you made it safe and sound. Funny you're doing some STS this week. I'm planning on some M1 for the next two weeks. I'll stop whenever the new discs arrive. A week off from workouts is a bonus for your body. I bet you'll be really motivated this week.

Diana, great job on the long run, I don't know how you fit in anything else after that. I am so done after a long bike ride, about all I can muster after is an ab workout. Your race must be right around the corner?

We were able to manage two bike rides this weekend. Sunday started out rainy, so we did a short bike ride in the afternoon. We were stopped by a mail man on Saturday, who let us know up ahead a group of riders had been hit and two were killed. It definitely had us in a funk for the rest of the weekend. I guess it's part of the risk you take with any outdoor sport.

Today, I'm going to try and get back on the nutrition band wagon. I've been shoveling in whatever passes by me lately. I'm sure my appetite is up due to being back to work and the fall "cave man" reflex is in gear. Time to reel it back in.

Can't wait for our next STS go through in November! : )

Hola :) checking in with a 3mph walk yesterday and plyo legs today. a lot of sucking wind, but it's behind me now :). Tomorrow should be another walk then back/bis on Thursday.

Tina I'm glad you weren't involved in the accident, it's amazing how a few minutes or inches can completely change (or end) ones life. I hope you take all the precautions you can to stay safe on the road. How's your eating? I want to eat everything in sight too :(

Hi Diana! I hope your training is going well!

Yesterday I did Body Box again, now that I've got most of the combos down, the cardio factor has gone up. Monday was M1D1 and STS abs. This morning I have M1D3 legs and some floor work from Xtrain. I'm really getting excited to do another round of STS soon. I saw someone posted a request for a sequel to STS, but I don't know how it could be improved from the original. Of course, I'd be the first in line to buy it though. : )

Sue, great job on getting back to your routine. Plyo legs is a good way to shock your body, phew!

Diana, I hope your training is going well.

Really getting excited for the new workouts. Over at Total Fitness DVD's, they have clips that are a little different to the ones Cathe has posted. The new kickboxing workout looks FANTASTIC! I'm doing that one first! I need to get some boxing gloves. Do either of you have them?

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I've been MIA, vacation and then overload at work. I'm here now.
I'm down 4.2# over the last 2 weeks. Yay, I'm super happy...I've gotten under a threshold I haven't been below in years. Still a ways to go...but definitely on the right path.

As far as an STS rotation, I'm thinking of starting Nov 9th. I'm out of town from 10/30-11/3. I prefer starting rotations on the weekend since my work schedule sometimes interferes with my morning w/o. What do you think?

Tina-happy to hear that you are safe. We've had several bikers hit and killed recently which causes my DH to be very nervous when I ride. I mainly stick to roads that have a bike lane, but you just never know. I do not have boxing gloves, but I have 1# and 2# weighted gloves that I use when doing Kickbox w/o's. I'm an Amy Bento fan too so need to check out her body box. She has some Kettlebell w/o's I've been interested in for a long time too.

Sue-road trips are nice....but the car does get old. I'm sure your nephew was glad you made the trip! How is your nutrition program going? Plyo legs is awesome...that's why I think I like Cardio Leg Blast so much too. I'm seriously slacking on the lower body weight training. I just don't know when to fit it in and I don't want to do weights on already sore legs. We do a lot of stairs and hills in bootcamp class. Perhaps leg weights will just have to wait for STS.

Yesterday was a short night time bike ride. I'm still recovering from hamstring DOMS from Wednesday's workout. This morning is STS M1D2, thank goodness there isn't any leg work involved. Saturday is a planned day off.

Diana, congrats on your continued weight loss! The STS start date sounds great. I can't wait for another round. : )

I'm thinking I might try some weighted MMA gloves. They seem a lot less bulky, and I could pair them with some of the Amy kickboxing workouts.

Have a great weekend ladies! :)

Hi ladies :). My hammies have been killing me since Wednesday. I did plyo legs Tuesday, then a walk on Wednesday and back/bis on Thursday. Problem was dead lifts for back dipped into the legs and annoyed my already DOMSing hamstrings. lesson learned, skip dead lifts if I have leg DOMS. I'll also be lowering my step next time I do plyo legs, looks like 4 risers is too much. I did chest shoulders tris yesterday and will take a walk later today.

Tina I agree with you on not needing a new version of STS. My only complains about STS are the warmups and stretch. everything in between is perfect as-is. I think you're interested in ultimate yogi? if you use coupon code OCTOBER on theultimateyogi.com there's a $27 discount. I don't know how long that code will last.

Hi Diana :) nice job on getting under your threshold weight!!! I like scheduling workouts for weekends too and taking any rest days during the work week. it's so much easier for me to make sure I get a workout in on the weekend. Sounds like your legs are getting enough of a workout with Bootcamp, I wouldn't stress about not getting in a heavy legs workout. I've fallen off the wagon on my nutrition. I've been eating whatever I want and having a cocktail or two every night for the last couple weeks. my waistline is expanding and I'll have the hard numbers on the first when I weigh in. I will get back in line on the 1st with my diet and avoiding the alcohol consumption. I'm just going to enjoy myself for another couple days :)

Have a wonderful week ladies :)
