Fast Abs
Yes I've seen it many times, the ad is on one of the infomercial channels here in London.
I doubt the effective of this device although I've never tried it. To even see your abs you need to have a healthy body fat %!! I know this may be largely due to genes but my abs are absolutely flat with cuts and I achived even more definition by simply doing lots of interval cardio (running/power walking/ stepping/ jumping rope) and no traditional ab work at all! I refuse to get on the floor and do crunches etc.. and really resent it!! I just make sure I contract my lower abs constantly whenever working out and this has made my abs even tighter. I lost about 2" from my abs this way and my waist wasn't a problem area (now a 26" waist and I'm 5'10" tall). I am convinced that the cardio burning excess fat is what has shaved off those inches. My body fat's about 19/20% which isn't bad.
Sorry I haven't really answered your question but I would say cardio is probably key to seeing your abs in the first place. This and a simple abs routine should do the trick.
Oh, and my neighbour (who works out sporadically and is an apple shape) is having amazing results with adding lots of interval cardio and some pilates for her abs. She also swears that the interval cardio is what has done it for her and not the pilates.
Clean eating is also key.
