Farming and Workouts

In spring, do you folks with big gardens and yards still incorporate your workouts into your routine. I know for me, in the spring, I can be outside ALL day just tilling, digging and pushing the push mower around all our pine trees so by the time the sun is done with me too, which can be draining alone, I am pretty much done for the day so since I am just getting serious about sticking with Cathe, I was wondering how anyone else out there deals with spring and summertime chores mixed in with workouts. Talk about a challenge, it can get pretty hot here in Virginia!

Hi,
I live on a farm. What I do is I wake up EARLY in the morning to do my workout while it's still cool and to give me energy for the day. You might not want to wake up early but it works for me. I can't stand working in HOT and HUMID weather.

I know Va gets frigging hot in the summer. When I used to live in Ch'ville, it would get so hot and humid some days. Long Island is no better either.

Wanna come up here and work on the farm in my place??? :p

Hi Z! :)
Well I know the hot weather will be here before we know it so I like to take the time to prepare myself for it and find creative ways to continue to keep the workouts going to, got much yard work to do.

I remember those days when I'd wear shorts in November. I miss that! I don't miss dying in the heat and humidity down there. Good side to living in Ch'ville is there wasn't as much mosquitos as there are here.

You could train yourself to wake up early to work out starting now? I know it starts to get pretty warm in mid-April to early May. If you wake up at 7, you could wake up at 5:30?? I wake up around 4 am to get it all over with especially if I'm going to do a long WO. If you have a pool, you can work out in the pool? Another suggestion there.

BTW- How's your daughter feeling?

Last Halloween, we were all almost sweating while my son went trick or treating. LOL! The one bad thing here are the gnats from hades. Got to get me a net to put over my face. Once, I was so desperate, I thought of cutting my panty hose and putting it over my head...just didn't want to freak out the neighbors..think I might be a robber. LOL! Are you in Florida? Mosquitos?

I am not use to getting up before 6am, but I might need to. Just have to go to bed earlier instead of 10pm. I just got to get at least 8 hours of sleep or I am no good for the day. I can't swim so the pool is no good for me.

Ashley is doing much better. She has days when she looks alittle pale, but once she gets that fruit and protein in her, she has color again. She has been going to bed by 9pm and gets up @6:30 so I think she is getting a good rest which is what she needs while recovering from that mono. I just feel so blessed that it wasn't anything else wrong with her.
Thanks so much for asking Z.
I hope you have a great day!
