Woo hoo yeah let's talk about fashion and I'll forget about the flu symptoms I'm experiencing today x( ...
Fall is definitely my favorite season to shop, except for the 80's fashions this year. On Monday they had awesome sales everywhere and since I had to spend on a new pair of eyeglasses I only got three new tops and left the mall wanting to buy a lot more, but I couldn't because I would've gotten way out of my budget (the eyeglasses pretty much left me broke until my next paycheck).
Ok so fall fashions... there's no way I'd be wearing leggings; there's no panty line or dimple that can be hidden by those. Skinny jeans I don't know either, but if I lose my judgement for a day and I buy them they can't have a tapered leg á la "mom jeans" I'd rather get them with a slight low rise, a straighter leg below the knee, and with a long inseam. I saw a pair of skinny jeans at Banana Republic that met all these requirements, but they were $128 (bummer). If I decide to get jeans like those I'd wear them with knee-hi boots with the jeans tucked inside (somehow that balances my shape more than wearing skinny jeans with any other kind of shoe). So that's that.
Vests are super cute, especially sweater vests with deep v-necks worn with fitted tops. Oversized tops no way... I won't be spending money on those. And let's not forget about the "in" colors. Neutrals and black are always in for fall, gray is huge, red is huge, and yes purple. I think we can somehow make what's in work for our body type instead of going for the overkill. One of the tops I bought is fitted and long with 3/4 sleeves and it's purple. I'm planning to wear it with bootcut jeans or bootcut pants with a black belt at the waist and short black boots. I already tried this at home, it looks super cute and it works for my pear shaped body.
I think that I will buy more tops, super dark blue bootcut jeans, knee-hi boots in black (I saw the perfect ones at Banana Republic--all leather with memory foam insoles, $198), maybe a pair of skinny jeans if they're not too expensive and work for me, a belt or two, some additional accessories, and of course seamless underwear
. I think that will work with what I have in my closet already.
