Facercise??

Cathlete
Just wondered if anyone has ever tried facercise - I have a book by Carol Maggio (not 100% sure if that is the correct name). She says that muscle is lost in the face as we age, and this contributes to sagging and wrinkles (loss of collagen and sun damage are also factors). She claims that by building a little muscle in the face with specific exercises, it can make the face look a lot younger.

I read an article recently in a fitness magazine about the face (I think it was M&F Hers). I was really surprised that they only talked about strange gadgets that are supposed to improve muscle or skin. There was no mention of ecxercising the face.

Any thoughts??

The book is good, but the video is the best. You cannot do without this video. I asked this question on here about 5-6 weeks ago...and no replies. So i bought it anyway, and all i can say is "wow". It really works. My cheeks are higher, my lips are fuller and my eyes open. I saw a change within a week. This is sooooooo cool. You really need the video though in order to see what she really is doing as the book gives you an idea, but is not the same. Good luck, the results are fantastic.

Wayne,

Is your video by the same person who wrote the Facercise book? I have the book, then I have a video called Face Aerobics, but I think it's a different person. I have to say that I've only done the video once, just because I barely have time to fit in my body workouts! My mom has always done her own face exercises, almost ever since I can remember (I'm 40, she's 73). People have always commented that she looks much younger than she is. Actually, people say that about me too, but if I don't start doing some exercise for my face, they may not much longer!

Hi Wayne, do you do all of the exercises exactly as they are? I was thinking of concentrating on the eye exercises for a while as they tend to look a bit tired (too much computer work!)

so sorry for the late reply. Yep the video is by the same woman who wrote the book. Carol Maggio. It really is fab. I do the whole video twice a day, it takes about 15 minutes each. Worth evey minute.
