Fabulous 40s in February

I didn't want to w/o today, but then saw Jody's post saying good job on your workouts, so that put a guilt trip on me. I finally mustered up the effort to do X10 LI and Fat Circuit, I grumbled the whole time :) SUPER windy here again, everyone is getting crabby with this windy winter!

Jody, you'll get back to w/o sometime, just eat good, that's most of the battle!

Roxie, guilt trip for you, make sure you do your w/o tonight :)

Hello! It's Friday! Today did RK, fun. Jody, hugs to you! I'm sorry things are so rough right now. Only 12 more weeks of school. Are DD's ok? Those videos were on sale last week, got 3 of them for $19! I love a bargain! Roxie, hope you aren't getting sick. I'm sure it's all the work you have been doing and the driving. Make sure you take care of yourself! Lisa, windy here too! Rained ALL night, now most of the snow is gone, everything is wet and brown. Hi Murphy! Dinner with friends tonite, talk to you tomorrow, Mary

I did KCM LB split sessions and bonus floorwork. We are dog sitting again today. DH got home last night (fri night) then flies out sunday morning (our anniv). I think we've been spoiled with him not traveling so much, I'm feeling that he may start traveling more again.

Mary, do you have kid activities this weekend?

Jody, everytime I want to bag on a w/o, I think of you saying how good i'm doing (plus I have no excuse other than laziness).

Roxie, enjoy your weekend.

Shout out to Murphy!

Hi everyone! Today did the Brooklyn Bridge w/o. Wow! They run across the bridge while you do jumping jacks, run in place, etc. they stop do push ups, leg work, upper body with bands, run again, and repeat. It was fun, but hard! Lisa, those dogs are so cute! Are you and DH going out tonight? Roxie, did you sleep in? Jody, how are you? Mercury is out of retrograde on Monday, maybe things will turn around? Murphy, how are you? Kids are busy today, DS is at academic tournament, DD is playing at basketball game tonite, other DS has a game tomorrow. No rest for the wicked! Had fun last night. Our friends DD works at chuck e cheeses, we went up there for a bit, she was in the mouse costume! Funny! Have a good day! Mary

Good Morning,

I didn't get a workout in last night didn't get home until almost 7:30 sorry girls but I did do KCM's Circuit Burn 2 and CK25 Wk3 D2 and then cleaned and started the laundry.

Mary-yes I did sleep in didn't get up until almost 7:15 and it felt great. Sounds like you are in for a busy weekend.

Lisa-here in Kansas we are use to the wind our saying is you can't have a nice day in Kansas without the wind blowing.

Hi everyone

Got back yesterday. Had a great week. Poland is great, the people are so nice. Loved the mountains, tho' the snow was a bit thin. Really enjoyed skiing, I did more than I expected I would manage in three days. Fell a few times, but only had one painful one. I've got a very bruised hip (it's blue and green!) and my neck and shoulder on one side are stiff.
Also really liked Krakow. Great city, went to a couple of really interesting museums. There's a museum about Krakow's wartime history in the Schindler factory just outside the centre.
DD had a great birthday, we went shopping, had a horse and carriage ride round the old town, and then had a surprise birthday cake after dinner in the hotel.

Got back in the saddle today with Tabatacise 3–5 plus Core 1.

YAY! Ronne's back! Sounds like you had a ball, hope you feel better soon. Sounds painful. Today I did the Brooklyn bridge again, I like it so much! Lisa, did you and DH celebrate before he left? Roxie, did you catch up on some sleep? Working full time this week too? Hi Jody! How are you? Murphy, hello! Rest day yesterday, we moved furniture around, looks like a totally different room! Have to run into work, hope everyone has a nice day, Mary

Good Morning,

Yesterday I walked on the TM for 30 minutes and today at work I did KCM's Bootcamp 2.

Mary-yes I am working full time again he is going in for surgery at 11 today hoping he gets released tomarrow. No on the sleep thing DH was home and he gets restless and then it wakes me up.

Ronne-that does sound painful but it sounded like you had a good time anyway.

Murphy-whats up with you lately?

Yesterday I only walked dogs for 2.5 miles. Today did FT (no abs), I plan to walk the dogs again before snow on Tues.

Mary, DH had to leave at 8am on Sunday, so no time for celebrating (then the poor guys plane was delayed by 2 hrs), Saturday was busy all day/night dog sitting, we got take out and I made cookies (tried not to blow diet too much!). so not a big celebration. Remember my big item is the pilates machine that comes tomorrow (will probably have to wait for DH to get home to put it together). It's nice moving furniture, you feel like you have a new room sometimes :)

Ronne, glad you had fun skiing even if you got an ouchie. So you got on and off the lift ok? That was always where i worried (and still do). We've had plenty of mishaps on the lifts when the kids were young, good thing DH is such a pro. Your first w/o was Tabatasize? wow!

Roxie, you can keep your wind :)

Hello

Lisa - sounds like a nice walk. Wow, you're getting a pilates machine? Can't wait to hear what that's like.

Roxie - do you have a room you can work out in at work?

Mary - you sound busy. Moving furniture is cheaper than moving house!

Ddi Amy Bento Drop Sets today: Chest, Biceps and Triceps. Took it easy as I don't want to hurt my neck any more.
Back to work as usual, all a bit disorganised at the moment.
Going to do some (more) holiday planning this evening for the summer!

Good Morning,

I did KCM's Stepboxing 1 and I really enjoyed this one now that I know what I am doing finally got the moves down. The boss man had heart surgery yesterday but I don't know how he is doing. Cold, windy and snowing today.

Lisa-I think you knew that was going to happen.

Ronne-the whole back of the store is a stock room and its hidden from the front door.

I did Step Moves today.

Roxie, yea, I knew it was going to happen, just didn't think this soon! i hear contractors being let go today, regular employees tomorrow. My intuition tells me that this is it, doubt I'll be called back, so many accts terminating. I can't get into stepboxing, but then I've only done it once (and stumbled around).

Ronne, I missed how you hurt your neck, falling during skiing? hmmmmm, makes me wonder if all those many ski runs I did contributed to my neck issues (especially since one time skiing I had to go see a chiro while in Vail!). Yes, I'm getting a pilates machine, it also has a trampoline like thing ( or something like a jumpboard)where the bar goes for a cardio w/o too. I'm hoping it helps me with my core and not involve my neck so much.

Hello! Did another new one I got from Collage, don't remember name or who, it was an interval circuit, glad it was only $4! Not sure ill do it again. I found a physique 57 at the bookstore this weekend, will have to give it a go one day. Lisa, I'm sorry about your job. Seems like they didn't really think it thru. Are you going to take a break or job search? Roxie, sounds like you'll be working full time for awhile? Ronne, where are you thinking of going this summer? I love to hear your plans! Hi to Jody & Murphy! Just finished cleaning, have to get onto dinner now, then basketball, then bed! LolL. Mary

Hi everyone

Mary - it must have been bad if you can't remember the name! At the moment, it's looking like France again. We haven't been for a few years.

Lisa - how predictable and what a colossal waste of your time. Very poor management. Machine sounds cool.
I fell heavily on my right hip and I think my head went the opposite way, so I've got a strain down the left side of my neck to the top of my shoulder.

Roxie - that's so cool you can workout at work!

Yoga day for me today. Did a good session, stretching out hips and attempting lotus at the end.
Work is picking up again, so going to be kept busy for a few weeks. Good news for the bank balance.

I played around with the AeroPilates machine. The level 1 w/o that came with it wouldn't work, thankfully I had bought a level 2 and level 3. Level 3 was MUCH better, don't see me doing level 2 again (and it wasn't $4 like Mary's). They have most of the same exercises, except level 3 seems more advanced and to my level (believe it or not). Going to see about a online pilates class for the reformer.

Roxie, I sweat so much, I could never w/o at work and then run to help a customer!

Ronne, ooh, that is one of the areas that always hurt on my neck when it "would go out". And that area hurt for a good year (before, during, and after surgery). It still will flare if I overdo it. Massage therapist said that the left trap and rhomboid are smaller, so I have to do more reps of exercises that work those on the left side (do not increase weight - max 5 lbs). Said, it looks like I've been dealing with nerve issues for a while before I realized it when I went into my arm. She also explained why it is that everytime I had neck issues (and now when she massages me), why I feel the need to crack my knuckles. She explained how the imbalance of muscles at the neck can create "pockets of pressure" in the joints from shoulder down to your hand because the neck muscles is the ones that are attached to the muscles from shoulder to your arm that holds your arm in the socket. I've always had the left elbow popping sometimes too, feeling pressure build and then it'd automatically pop. Was interesting to hear how it works and that what I've felt all these yrs is validated.

Mary, I have got to get into cleaning mode again. No job, no cleaning lady, especially since physically I can do it again (that was questionable back in Nov still). I look forward to getting control over the dirt and clutter, can't deal with the clutter until it's just DH and I again.

We got snow last night and single digits. Monday our high was 64, Tuesday was 24! Probably won't get a walk with the dogs, maybe I'll play around with my machine more. The rebounding got my quads (I still didn't huff and puff like with Cathe, but did get up a sweat in a 58 degree house) and this one stretch helped me stretch my hammies and back more than doing it myself.

Good Morning,

I didn't want to get up its so cold and we got 1/2-1" of snow last night so I didn't get a workout in before I came to work and didn't feel like dragging crap with me so I will definelty need to do it tonite.

Lisa-I would freeze in a 58 degree house we keep ours at 70 and sit under a blanket. Its fun to do one legged squats on the pilates machine its like using a leg press.

Ronne-its not exactly permitted but since they are not here who cares.

Hello all! Did CSS today, back to Cathe. Roxie, cold and snow here too. I'm getting tired of it, kind of depressing. How's boss man? Lisa, thank goodness you found that massage lady. She has been a blessing for you. I'll come clean! Ronne, France! Sounds wonderful and so romantic! I hope you feel better soon. Hi to Murphy and Jody! Have to get the kids, we have a concert band performance tonight. Yay! Kind of kidding, I'd rather sit on my couch! Mary

Hello

Mary - sometimes, the relentless following kids around to places does get a bit tiresome! DD's been asked to do some extra trampolining on Sunday (5 and half hours). We have to drive 35 mins to get there. Well, it keeps her off the screen!

Roxie - I don't think I could workout after a day at work. I'm so lucky working at home!

Lisa - sounds great, I want a go! :) Your massage therapist really knows her stuff.

Did SM today. Ages since I've done a straight step workout. I really felt it in my calves, think they might be sore tomorrow.
Going to get some Thai food tonight while DD is at gymnastics. DH is out and I don't feel like cooking!
