I played around with the AeroPilates machine. The level 1 w/o that came with it wouldn't work, thankfully I had bought a level 2 and level 3. Level 3 was MUCH better, don't see me doing level 2 again (and it wasn't $4 like Mary's). They have most of the same exercises, except level 3 seems more advanced and to my level (believe it or not). Going to see about a online pilates class for the reformer.
Roxie, I sweat so much, I could never w/o at work and then run to help a customer!
Ronne, ooh, that is one of the areas that always hurt on my neck when it "would go out". And that area hurt for a good year (before, during, and after surgery). It still will flare if I overdo it. Massage therapist said that the left trap and rhomboid are smaller, so I have to do more reps of exercises that work those on the left side (do not increase weight - max 5 lbs). Said, it looks like I've been dealing with nerve issues for a while before I realized it when I went into my arm. She also explained why it is that everytime I had neck issues (and now when she massages me), why I feel the need to crack my knuckles. She explained how the imbalance of muscles at the neck can create "pockets of pressure" in the joints from shoulder down to your hand because the neck muscles is the ones that are attached to the muscles from shoulder to your arm that holds your arm in the socket. I've always had the left elbow popping sometimes too, feeling pressure build and then it'd automatically pop. Was interesting to hear how it works and that what I've felt all these yrs is validated.
Mary, I have got to get into cleaning mode again. No job, no cleaning lady, especially since physically I can do it again (that was questionable back in Nov still). I look forward to getting control over the dirt and clutter, can't deal with the clutter until it's just DH and I again.
We got snow last night and single digits. Monday our high was 64, Tuesday was 24! Probably won't get a walk with the dogs, maybe I'll play around with my machine more. The rebounding got my quads (I still didn't huff and puff like with Cathe, but did get up a sweat in a 58 degree house) and this one stretch helped me stretch my hammies and back more than doing it myself.
