Hi All,

I went to my old buddy Tracie Long this morning. I was supposed to do HSC but I was not up for all the action. Okay, tomorrow for sure...

Hello to all who follow.

Murphy

Hi Girls! hope everyone had a good weekend. Sat. our oldest DS ran cross country in the pouring's rain, we all looked like rats! Really windy here today, I think the dog might get blown away, fall has arrived! Today I did Kelly Coffey Mayer's new Muscle Definition, different from Cathe, not too much lower body, a lot of shoulders and triceps. Moves fast, I liked it, just have to play with the weights. Murphy, was Tracie glad to see you? I have HST on tap for this week, don't own HSC, it looks challenging! Probably one I would avoid! Hi to everyone else, have a great Mon. Mary

Finally!

Good morning, girls! Finally my computer is scanning virus-free! Hooray! I've been afraid to turn it on for fear of what could happen, but it appears the problem is solved (at least on this computer -- I have to check the other ones).

Today is my day off from working out but I wanted to stop by and say "hi."

As I was doing STS disc 31 yesterday I mentioned to DH that we finish STS in two weeks. He said, "And then we can start it again." Again? I don't think so. I really need a break!

On Sunday we went to see the final round of the FedEx Cup (played here in Atlanta). It was exciting -- I've never seen any of these younger guys play (Tiger, Phil, etc.) I used to go to tournaments fairly often when I worked at Golf Digest in the 80s, but those guys are all on the senior tour now!

DH, DD, and I were on the NBC telecast a couple of times on the 4th hole -- once when Phil Mickelson played the hole, and a couple of times when Tiger played through. DH recorded it so we could watch later. Amy was so thrilled to see herself on TV! We had great weather and it was a lot of fun! My son was nowhere to be found -- off wandering as usual.

Speaking of him, I've got to take him to school, but just wanted to stop by and say "hi!"

Hi All,

HSC is not as bad as I remembered. I should probably stop being afraid of it, like I am with DM! Anyway, it is a bit chilly today. I hope to get my afternoon walk in!

Mary - how do you like HST? I was thinking of buying it but am not sure. Plus, I should probably save money - I have a ton of other dvd's to avoid!

Kathryn - glad to hear you are virus free. Make sure DH does not record over your television debut!

Murph

Hi everyone

I'm so bad at checking in at the moment, apologies!

Quick flyby as I've got to get DD from school. Got my first kettlebell class proper tonight. Did the benchmark test and learnt some of the exercises. It's good because you get a feedback report after each session, with heartrate details, etc. Quite interesting.

Mary - what do you reckon to the new KCMs? I've got Muscle Definition and Body Training (is that right?). I've done both sections of MD and liked them - short, straightforward. Don't like not having a proper warm-up on that second one though. I stuck the first warm-up on it. I've done the floor part of BT but not the legs, that looks tough. Have you got that one?

Kathryn - hope you get the chance to break out of the STS treadmill soon!! 3 times round sounds too much ;)

Murph - isn't HST the one on offer at the moment? Not that I'm trying to tempt you :p

Right got to go!

Hey everyone, I finally remembered to checkin  Let's see over the weekend, I did DM ultra cardio PM (OMG, I thought I was going to die!), Sun I did STS M1 Legs...that seemed easy, must be because I did DM the prev day! Monday, I woke up early so did STS M1 B/T, and then today, my body is tired so I only did Stab Ball Abs from abs circuits.

It's been nice here, but poor Maddy is showing her age, she can't walk as far as normal....she just poops out (she finally isn't limping). I've had to carry her back quite a bit so I have to try to make sure to go shorter, it's hard as she wants to go her normal route but poops out and I end up carrying her.

Work is SLOW....this is probably the honeymoon period --- I know it won't be like this forever so I try to enjoy it (and I do!)

Murphy, for some reason I avoid HSC along with IMAX3, and Hardcore Extreme. Kudos to you for doing it!

Kathryn, Hooray for a virus free computer....mine is awful, DH found some trojans and it's just a pig anyway so I have a MacBook coming. Geez, here I get a job and end up spending $$$$....gotta put the brakes on that!

Mary, we had some fall weather but last few days have been summer like...soon we will be back to fall....I'm not sure I'm ready for the winter just yet.

Ronne, enjoy your class, do you think you are going to like it? I haven't done the Kbells in a while, it might be time to dust them off, but first I have to finish STS again. I have only 1 more week of M1, I'm ready for M2.

Have a great day all !

Hi everyone! Today was Imax2, fun and quick, kind of petered out by blast 9! Ronne,I caved and bought all 3 of Kelly's new ones! (Present to myself!?) Anyway, I really enjoyed the Body Training, I only did the standing, haven't tried the floor work one yet. Got pretty sweaty for not using any weights, I really enjoyed the plyo one on the cardio blast disc, the step wasn't too bad either. A good investment overall. Murphy, congrats on HSC, that one looks HARD! Kathryn, I am computer illiterate(did I even spell that right?) I am impressed you fixed it! Lisa, sorry to hear about Madison. Well, the house is in chaos screaming my name to tidy it up. Have a good night all. Mary

Hi all

Lisa - make the most of the slow time! You know it's only going to get busier!
That sounds like some tough working out you're doing there! Congrats!

Mary - glad you're enjoying the new DVDs :D. I get so excited when they arrive :). With the presale they were such a bargain. I didn't get the cardio one because I promised myself once I preordered STS Cardio that would be it for Cardio DVDs for me this year. And I've stuck to it (thank goodness Amy Bento got pregnant, is all I can say!)

Anyway, today I did my regular hour of yoga. Feeling fine from the kettlebells last night. Got my feedback report and had a good workout.
I've just been into town present shopping, it's DH's birthday next week and parents' wedding anniversary the same weekend! Oi, everything together as always.

See ya tomorrow! :p

Hi All,

Today is a rest day - I woke up and one of my knees and one of my shoulders ached. What the heck in going on? How do you go to bed feeling fine and wake up all messed up? I know I am 40 but still... Everybody do a little something for me. Maybe the vibes will get my body back together. ?????

Murphy

Hey, better late than never....I did 40 min on spin bike today with cardio coach 4.

Murphy, Oi, I know what you mean by the aches....my lower back was hurting today and that's why I did the bike....now my butt hurts from that darn seat! Always something....my sensitive butt will never get used to it...I have padded seat and shorts and still my toosh is sore.

Ronne, and Mary, you girls and all your workouts! I've thought about straying from Cathe but I'm always a bit disappointed....maybe someday. Does anyone know the status of STS Cardio?

Gotta get to bed....that darn alarm clock will go off in the morn whether I get to bed or not, so better get some shut eye and hope my back and butt feel better in the A.M.

Hi All,

I am going to attempt Cathe's October rotation. Wish me luck!

Lisa - I know what you mean about the bike and sore butt. I like spinning (well I am not sure if "like" is the right word...) but my booty does get a bit sore.

Murph

Hey everyone

good luck with the rotation, Murph, sounds like a tough one!

Lisa - hope the butt isn't so sore today ;)

Not going to hang around today as I will stink the place out with my BAD MOOD:mad:!!! Crappy day - off to kettlebells in an hour to swing it all out!

see you tomorrow!

Hi girls! Ronne, sorry to hear you are out of sorts! I get days like that, sometimes don't even know what is bugging me! Lisa, Murphy, spinning sound fun! Tho a painful butt doesn't! Yesterday did Jari, R&C, didn't do all the biceps, it was over 200 reps, that seemed to be a bit overkill to me! only did about half, need to do cardio today, got to figure out what! Well, gotta mow, wash, put clothes away, pack lunches, homework, wash the floor, do some schoolwork of my own(grade papers) , make dinner, and go to a meeting for our youngest, he is making his 1st Communion this year. I need to get busy! Have a good night. Mary

Hey yall....well, did STS M1 C/S/B -Disc 10 I think. Was up early and it's a bit chilly so opted to do my workout and walk the dog in the afternoon. That worked out soooo much better as I'm not as rushed to try to get logged into work (and twiddle my thumbs). Just getting Maddy to understand is hard but she'll get it. Basically just one medium (2 miles instead of our normal 3) is all she can do (we used to do up to 4 miles a day). I figure I can learn so much from her....one of them is handling limitations as we age with grace and humility.

The legs are sore in a different way than normal from spinning...funny how not doing something for a while makes you hurt differently and good when you do it again. Sadly the sorest part is my tush.

Mary, so are you a teacher? I'm guessing from the grading comment...if so, what grade?

Ronne, sounds like you need a kickboxing workout....that always helps me especially if I imagine I'm punching/kicking the person I'm current mad at or if I'm not mad at someone then I picture this one mgr I really hated.

Murphy, it's tough sticking to a rotation, especially now with working....don't beat yourself up too much.

gotta run for now ladies....

Wow, I must be early to checkin today since I was last to post last night! I did RS this morning....that one sneaks up on you...you think not too bad and then WHAM, you're a sweaty mess at the end of the workout. I then felt like I needed more of a stretch so I popped in HSC did the ab and stretch section

Have a good weekend!

Hi All,

Just a quick note to say have a wonderful weekend and see you Monday. I am going to try the October rotation and mix-in the insanity dvd's I rented. I heard so much about them but refused to buy them as I am waiting for STS Cardio. But, in the meantime, I can rent them so I am going to try and mix them in w/ the rotation. I hope this change will get me out of my exercise funk. I think I am still missing my STS that I loaned out. I know I cannot use all of the discs at once, and she only has 1 mesocycle. It is the fact that it is out there and not w/ the others that bothers me. Who knew I could get so attached to something like an STS collection? Oh, why did I loan it out anyway? Well, it was my sister and I trust that she would replace it if anything happened - eventually. At 45 she is starting to take exercise seriously and I did not want to discourage her by saying no when she asked. She seems to like it and is doing well with it. Anyway, I need to get my meso-baby back so this cloud can lift. Maybe I will join Ronne and work out the frustration. Well, so much for a quick post!

Murphy
