Fab 40s 14/02

Okay, did I just block out how hard Intensity is or should I not have tried it first day after recovery? I was thinking, "sure you can do it, you are crazy so it will be fine". WTH was I thinking. I am in the middle of it and realize that I need a break and then I switched 4DS and did calves and abs. I think it is time to put the medicine away before I try an IMAX! :)

Lisa - I have noticed that I tend to get sick around my cycle. I see as just "another bons" to the cycle!

Mary - Yes Ms. Enabler, I did see that Tracie Long is having another presale. I did not order it. Of course the titles and descriptions look great but I have not looked at the video clips. I am trying to be strong (and watch my money).

Vickie - I have those "I don't want to" days quite often. More often than I care to mention. I agree with the rest that it is a constant battle and it is so important to do something, anything, just to stay in a routine (although I don't always follow my own advice). Plus, the check-in is helpful. Sometimes I just lurk and then feel guilty and then get off my butt. It is not easy. Good luck to you and one day at a time.

Ronne - Hi Ronne!

Hi to anyone I missed and have a DOMS weekend!

Murphy

Hi everyone

Vickie - we all know the feeling. My trick is to think about how good I feel after I've worked out. I usually find that's enough to get me going because I'll feel so much better about myself. Having said that, I do have days when I think 'sod it' and don't bother and don't give myself a hard time about that either. I only work out 4/5 days a week anyway (I say only, anywhere but here that's seen as insanely committed!!). For me, having regular days off works. Also, I have odd weeks off during the year, holidays, etc. and enjoy the break.

Mary - Having said all that, TAKE A REST DAY YOU LUNATIC!! Yes, rest is allowed and IT IS GOOD FOR YOUR BODY! :p Enjoy the film and bowling.

Lisa - I bet you really enjoyed that sleep - that's better than any workout, isn't it?!!

Murph - Intensity is like childbirth, you forget how painful it was till you do it again! :D I looked at the Tracie Long clips on Collage (I love wasting time while working looking at workout clips for things I'm never going to buy!). Didn't do much for me. I think they're quite pricey for the length.

Today was yoga again. Backbends!! Yikes, that was tough. Felt great after though. DD's birthday party tomorrow (birthday is Tues). Don't really have to do anything as it's all organised for me, just have to remember the cake.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Happy Friday everyone! I did sts disc#2 (back/bi)....I got tired of listening to all the instruction and just wanted to get it over with, yea, I really didn't feel like working out but I did it, and then I even did medicine ball abs from sts ab disc.

Ronne, Enjoy your DD birthday, how lucky you only have to remember to get a cake, how did you luck out? Insanity=childbirth? LOL ! I've only done it one time, and did start it a second and stopped it. I keep seeing the dvd there but I just don't have the heart to grab it, maybe one day. The childbirth thing.....wish I could have bagged labor with the second boy like I did Insanity :)

Hi everyone else, sorry for lack of personals, got to run for now.
