Eye Creams...any suggestions?

Hi All,

I'm sure this topic has been discussed before so forgive me ahead of time. I've used various brands over the years (Ponds, Neutrogena, etc) but I have never been happy with the results. I'm looking for something to help with my dark circles that seem to be getting worse not better. If any of you have had noticeable results could you please share what products you use.

Appreciate it greatly :)

Thanks
Chastity

I always use Bobbi Brown's creamy eye concealer before I leave my house, it helps with the dark circles after very little sleep and gives my face a nice appearance

OMG... Hylexin!! It's pretty expensive though. It's 99.00 for a tube unless you get it on ebay, which I wouldn't recommend. I have seen great results from it for the dark circles. I also use Strivectin SD ( also expensive, 59.00 a tube) Eye cream for lines and wrinkles, which again, I absolutely couldn't live without now! These are the only two products I have seen real results with.

You can get them in Macy's or most department stores. You have to ask for them usually at any cosmetic counter. If you have a Sephora nearby they also carry them.

Good luck!

I've been using Booth's Black Licorice Eye Cream for a few months, and have gotten fairly good results with my dark circles. You can read reviews about it on Drugstore.com's website:

I've also had good luck with Bobbi Brown's concealer used on top of the Booth's, but I recently switched to Boots No7 Radiant Glow Concealer from Target, which I almost love even more than the BB since the Boots has a nice bit of brightening solution to it.

Hope this helps!

Chastity, thanks for posting this question. Well-timed as I think I need to be a little more aggressive about my dark circles. Prior to switching to mineral makeup, I used the Bobbi Brown concealer and thought that worked fairly well, but now I'm thinking I need some kind of cream treatment. Appreciate all the suggestions here. I think I will try the Olay eye serum first - that line of product seems to be getting good reviews overall.

Let us know us what you wind up buying today.

I just finished my bottle of Olay regenerist eye. It worked great for the fine lines and even the dark circles, BUT I used it on my upper lids and I had a huge allergic reaction. I have had this before with Clinique make up, so if you have sensitive skin, don't do what I did! I just bought Loreal double eye lift, that has something for upper and lower lids. Good luck with shopping!:)

Not to change the subject, but maybe just shift it a little. What product is good for the lip area? I have some lines starting in that area and I hate them!

You can use eye cream for the lip area, I know I do! Also, I agree with the poster who uses Hylexin and Strivectin SD!:7 You can also get these lines injected with a filler, I have done this, you purchase a syringe of filler (usually Restylane) and the doctor injects a tiny bit into the lines, it lasts for about 5 months for me. Then go back and get them redone after 5 months. That syringe full lasts forever, so in the long run its worth a little bit of discomfort in my opinion!

Wow!! The Hylexin gets rid of puffiness instantly, and the dark circles over a course of a month, serious business. The Strivectin repairs the skin from the inside out, its amazing as well. And even though they may appear expensive, look at how large the tubes are, plus you only need a little bit, so a tube could last at least 6 months!

You can go to the web site: www.hylexin.com or www.strivectinsd.com or get them at Macy's, Nordstrom.

I also have been experimenting with La mer. Expensive too, not sure if its worth it though, I just had to see what all the hype was about. The cream is really, really rich, good for the desert air I live in, but not good for anyone living in humidity!

As you can see, I am a skincare fanatic!:7 I will spend some money on skincare and shoes that is for sure.:) Oh, and Cathe workouts!!

I purchased the trio package of StriVectin-SD 2oz., Hylexin .39oz., and Idebenol 1.3oz, at Costco for $69.00. You can return them at any time if they don't work for you. I've been using the Hylexin for 6 weeks and have perhaps just noticed seeing a little bit of improvement. I have VERY dark circles. The StriVectin makes my skin look nice when I put it on but I haven't yet seen any noticeable results after 4 weeks of use. I've been using Idebenol for 6 weeks and haven't noticed a thing. I spoke with the maker of these products and was told that it could take up to 8 weeks to see results with the Hylexin so I'm hoping more improvement will still occur. I'm still going to use them until I finish the tubes.

I agree with the Philosophy.
I use the high density Hope in a Tube for eyes and lips, as well as When Hope is Not Enough serum for wrinkles eveyrwhere else.
I've had the serum for about a month now, and have noticed the wrinkles smoothing out.

I use Obaji Elastiderm for under and around the eyes.

I also use Cosmedix define Vitamin A Resurfacing Treatment every other night. I've seen a huge improvement in skin texture and pigmentation.

Both are expensive by my standards, but well worth it since I've tried just about everything else with little to no results.

Mikkia, are you quite sure it was the regenerist serum that caused your eyelid reaction? I have very sensitive eyelids and haven't had any problem with Regenerist eye serum. I'm on my second bottle and I'm usually the first one to have my eyelids blow up. For example, I can't wear eyeshadows with too much pigment in them.

I like Olay Regenerist. The biggest difference for me is that my eyelids don't "droop" anymore. The skin is much more firm.

Hi Ladies,

Thanks again for all the suggestions. I finally broke down today and bought the Olay Regenerist line (serum, eye cream and night cream). I also bought the Boots No7 concealer that LeanneM mentioned. I have been using Physicians Formula Circle RX and have not been satisfied. It's a bit watery and doesn't really cover the darkness. I'm looking forward to using the Boots tomorrow morning. I know results won't be overnight with the Olay (practice patience:)) but if I'm not happy in about a month or so I now have all of this great information to fall back on :)

Take Care!

Hi Chastity,

Hope you liked the Boots concealer! Just a little bit seems to go a long way, and you can also use it on other parts of your face to highlight a bit.

I bought the Olay Total Effects Eye Transforming Cream and the Total Effects Intensive Restoration Treatment, and it sounds nuts, but I *am* seeing a bit of a difference already after one treatment. I'm 33 and don't have A LOT of wrinkles, but the creases on my forehead seriously look less pronounced this morning. No kidding.
