Hi Cathe & Everyone,
I didn't post this in the pregnancy forum b/c this is about pre-pregnancy, but if you feel it is more appropriate in that forum please move it over.
I had a question about exercising (all types) when you are actively TTC, and specifically during the 2 week wait (2WW) after you have ovulated.
I have been reading on some message boards that some doctors have told their patients not to do vigourous exercise (step, lifting over 20 lbs, ab work, jumping, etc) to avoid any twisting or torquing of the abdominal region. I'm skeptical but wanted to see if you knew anything about this. I'm sure those that weren't consciously ttc but did worked out during the first weeks also.
Do you know if that is hogwash or if it is valid?
I'd hate to be stuck just walking on the treadmill for 2 weeks. I for one, need something a little more challenging that that to see a weight loss. For me, that is stepping - I see a loss when I do just 30 minutes 4-5 x week. (I'm working up to longer though) I'm not lifting over 20 now, at least with free weight, can do heavier on machines when I go to the gym.
Thanks
