Everything seems so easy after Drill Max!

I just posted in the video qs & comments section about how Circuit Max was fun but seemed easy after DM.

Then I realized I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I did IMAX2--a workout I used to dread b/c I thought it was so hard. Guess the joke's on me. :+ IMAX2 flew by & I felt like I barely broke a sweat (which is saying something considering I'm carrying an extra 5 holiday lbs LOL).

I'm trying to think if there's ANY home workout out there, including instructors other than Cathe, that comes even close to DM's intensity. The only one I can come up with is Kick Max--but the difference is KM just doesn't have the fun factor of DM.

(all this said w/the qualifier that the only home DVDs I own are cardio & core--these are the first home circuit workouts I've ever purchased)

So who wants to chime in? Is there anything out there tougher than DM?

Drill Max is a tough, but fun workout. Out of the new ones, this is the workout I reach for the most.

I still find Imax 3 really difficult though. But it is not as hard as when I first attempted it.

I agree too - I have what I used to consider lots of tough workouts but since getting Drill Max I don't think I have anything as hard. I did the cardio/leg premix the other day & thought holy cr$p that was tough! Now i can't decide if I want to do Drill Max tomorrow or try out Powerstike 2 - just got yesterday!

If you want high intensity & fun, do Drill Max. If you want just plain fun without needing a nap afterwards, do Powerstrike. :)

Thanks... hey question for you on Powerstrike since it seems you've done it. Will I be able to pick it up easy the first time or is there a learning curve? I just got it in the mail yesterday so haven't even looked at it yet, well besides unwrapping it! I am challenged sometimes with new routines but like Drill Max, KPC, Butts and Guts, CTX series, KickMax etc... I was all able to pick up without watching once. That may also help determine what I do tomorrow as I'm going out to a friends tonight for dinner and a couple drinks so may not be able to phyically do Drill max tomorrow or have the brain power to learn powerstrike... oh no, what now?

I just finished drill max and it is tough! I also think the BM2 scrambled eggs is as tough as is the cardio only premix on BM2. Yesterday I did high step training which I always find tough. I think it really depends on which day of the month I am doing a workout. Sometimes they seem easier than others. Just IMO:) .

A kind VFer just loaned me Amy Bento's Hi/Lo Extreme and All Pump Extreme. I tried the ho/lo yesterday and it was some fun, intense cardio. I'm not a hi/lo fan, but I think I may break down and purchase my own copy. I was winded and that was only my first time through. Once I know all the moves and can work this thing, it will be tough! The music was good too! She also has premixes including 3 premixes with footage from her All Pump Extreme so you also have 3 circuit workouts on there. I have not tried those yet, but they look tough. Anyway, just an idea if you want to try someone else to change things up.
I do love Drill Max! I find it doably tough!!!

I've only done the cardio blast of Drill Max twice. The first time it was really tough because it was something new for my body, but the second time was easier to do.

Yesterday, however, I tried something *crazy*. I did LIC cardio blast timesaver (no final stretch), followed by KM leg conditioning drills, ab segment from B&G, and the stretch segment from Kickmax. Yeah I don't know I survived that. I have major D.O.M.S. today.

I really like DM and it is a good workout. I don't rank it the same way on the tough-o-meter as you do, but it makes me work }( . Have you looked at HSTA or Bootcamp? If you are looking to try more circuits, these are good, but different.

I have found that after I did the November rotation, Kick Max's cardio blasts were "do-able". I was only ever able to get through 1/2 before. I love little bonuses like that. I wasn't looking to get better at KickMax, but I did anyway!
