everyday indications that Cathe has changed your life

I'm talking about little things that happen outside your workout area that make you realize that what Cathe has done for you IN the workout room is impacting your life everywhere else, too.

My example: I'm a high school teacher. Long story short, last week my students did a stick-puppet presentation that required them to sit on the floor and reach their puppets up to a background taped onto the wall over their heads. I recorded with my hand-held video camera. They complained almost immediately about how tired their arm got from having to be held over their head. When they started to complain, I noticed that I was holding the much heavier camera, at a potentially uncomfortable angle, for the entire class period, and didn't feel fatigue, cramping or shaking.

Hurray for Cathe's muscle endurance workouts! It's little things like this that are almost as satisfying as finally picking up those 25's.

Anyone else have an example to share?

That's a good story Anna. Mine is just as simple but equally impressive to myself. I find myself sitting up straight, (okay, I've done that before), and also holding in my core tight with no effort. Am I explaining it right? A tight, compact core while sitting without any conscious effort from me. This coming from someone that still remembers her Jr High French teacher telling her to "Sit up straight, Mademoiselle."

I did a 71 mile bike ride with approx. 6,000' of climbing yesterday. Felt really strong for it, endurance, cardio and leg strength out the roof. Got a few compliments on how strong I was from those I ride with. It comes from my Cathe workouts cuz I definitely haven't put the miles in on the bike that I usually do. Core strength helps too (thanks Coremax!).

My back never comes up anymore during my workouts. My core is now strong and stable. My stomach is just about is flat as it can be and I can now wear a size 1 although I am still gaining weight. WOW!
I catch people looking at my arms now.

I was helping my bf install a light fixture in his bathroom and I was holding it above my head for awhile. He kept asking me if I was getting tired and I said "No! I'm no weakling!"

I drag students up flights of stairs to my office, chatting to them as I go and requiring them to answer and they are wheeezing and out of breath and I'm just hittting my stride by the time we reach the 4th floor.

I turn 40 this week and I don't look it. I have high energy and a youthful glow from exercise.

I can carry several bags of groceries at a time, and I'm not talking 2-3 bags per hand.

I can move large furniture by myself. Unless it's too long or wide, then I need someone on the other side.

I barely run out of breath when I have to chase a child.

I hate to admit this, but I once got so angry I kicked the wall. And put a huge hole through it. My anger turned into fear. Of what I could do if someone gets me really mad.

My husband has a side business doing landscape work and sometimes I go along and help. A couple weekends ago we did 2 mulching jobs (a business and a residence)on Saturday and on Sunday we did another house, and I was the one who shoveled out and hauled it around in the wheelbarrow for all 3 jobs. I also cut grass at one place and spread the fertilizer and didn't get tired, and no sore muscles! (DH was complaining that he needed to go back to work to get rested up!)

I am 41 years old, and I've worked out for years and years, but I still used to get tired after a weekend like that and I've been doing only your workouts (plus occasionally adding in walking outside/treadmill, and my exercise bike) for months now and I really can see and feel a big difference in my strength and endurance.
Icing on the cake is that I am wearing 2's and 4's for the first time in my life!!! THANK YOU CATHE!!!! I am a fan for life!!!

My 24 lb son doesn't feel as hard to carry anymore. I can visibly see more definition. I can do more pushups without problem. My clothes fit better!

I helped my DH this past Saturday with our deck. I carried the 60 pound bags of cement from truck to the deck. Also, carried some really heavy boards. My DH was sure happy that I was able to help him so much. And, I actually thought it was going to be a rest day :)

The day my husband brought home 50 lbs of salt for our water softening system and I helped him unload his car and he asked me "Are you sure you can get those...??" I picked one up without even really thinking about it...he just shook his head and said..."okay, no more weights for you....you are making me look bad".

I agree that Cathe is the queen of fitness! She has brought a new standard to video fitness for sure! However....

Take credit for your hard work too, you guys! She is awesome, but so are you! You guys actually did the workouts instead of letting them collect dust on the shelves and you push yourselves by upping your weights and going for that extra mile while you could just be content where you are at! You all are my heroes!

My DH made a comment this past week when we moved that a lot of people couldn't lift the boxes I was lifting to help out. I also carried them down a big flight of steps to our new basement. Don't tell anyone but on the way up each time, I pushed thru my heels like I was doing a leg press and let me tell you...the next day my butt-cheeks were sooo sore. Talk about a workout! Gotta love those leg presses for the backside! :7

I can say I have definitely gained upper body strength.

I usually do my w/o in the basement, but now that we have a tv/vcr/dvd player in the dojo area I w/o there b/c of the awesome space. Well last week Thursday I was all pumped and pysched for MM and low & behold the tv was not working with the dvd player, boy did I get burntx( x( x( x( , dh tried to fix it for me. I was sooooo angry I got VERY QUIET and he knew not to say anything.

Because I was sooooo angry I worked out in the basement to MM and was able to do 3 sets of 16 leg curls, 3 sets of 16 leg ext. and 80 reps on the gravitron machine--military pullups, bar dips, parallel dips and wide grips--felt like I could have done more. Sat. I broke my record of 80 reps and did an extra 10.
