Since I read the "I *heart* my Trainer" article in Fitness (Did you all know Cathe was in Fitness Magazine this month?!?!?!;) ;) ;) ) I have been curious about this Teresa Tapp woman that was mentioned at the beginning of the article. Have any of you ever heard of her before? I checked out her website and I don't think she is really my style.....at all. This is the site: http://www.t-tapp.com/

Thoughts?

Yeah right, fitness in 15? Love the snappy title or whatever, wouldn't that be great if that is all it really took?;)

I came to know about Ttapp one year before I came across Cathe. They are two different approaches to fitness. Ttapp is not easy to master but once you get it you will find tremendous benefits out of it. It took me really a while just to master the Beginner/Rehab portion. However, I would say that if you try it and don't get the form right, you won't appreciate the benefits. Having tried Ttapp I would say they are very beneficial to your body. It is not really about weight loss but has an impact on lympathic aspect in your body. Don't really know how to explain it but if you go to their website, there are more writeups there or if you join their forums, you will learn a lot more.

In my case, I have to say it helps me tremendously in addressing my knee joint pain problem when I first started. It also help in back problem too. The exercises do not have the fun factor as other form of exercises but like I mentioned before, once you understand the logic behind it and you have tried it successfully, you would appreciate it. There are some signature movements there that are fantastic such as Hoe Downs, half frogs and their signature back stretch.

You can go to their website to try out some of the free exercises. I did that and that is how I came to own many of their dvds. Strangely, Ttapp compliments CAthe's as one stretches the muscles and one work the muscles but both tone the muscles up too. Ttapp is like weight training and yoga put together.

Hope it answer your question.

I did this back about 5 or 6 years ago.....long before TTapp was in the fitness magazines.

It works, but your form has to be really good. I did lose two sizes with about 3 lbs weightloss total...I went from a size 8 to 4 and about then is about when I quit it.

It really does work, but after about 6 months, I dreaded the thought of trying to get myself to workout. It worse than watching paint dry.

To do justice to Ttapp, I have to add that if you are looking to lose weight and get that satisfaction feeling after working out, Ttapp is not that. The founder came out with Ttapp exercise more from research into rehabilation for cancer. Most who first come across Ttapp and try it wanted to use it for weight loss and basically the way they market it seems to be for that. However, if you look into it indepth, you will find the exercises are not geared towards weight loss per se although weight loss do happen if you do them.

There is a lot of depth in Ttapp which when you explore it you will find it. Every level of the workout there is different and they are tough especially their 'On The Floor and Lady Bug'. When I first got the first dvd, I thought 'is that all, I don't seem to have workout hard' but having gotten more of the dvds, I discovered the richness of the workouts for the body in term of improving lympathic flow which is a key to prevention of breast cancer.

It is such a waste that most treat Ttapp as just a form of workout to lose weight.

P.S. I am not promoting for Ttapp but I do know they are really good. The only setback is to motivate one to do them since they lack that fun factor.
