Empting the dishwasher

Was doing my daily chores, putting away the clean dishes from the dishwasher, and low and behold, all of a sudden was putting away dirty dishes. I say to myself: uh? what? How long have I been putting away dirty dishes? Then you have to reclaim them and put them back in the dishwasher, wondering if you got them all(you see folks, I wash mine first before I put them in the dishwasher, but I don't rinse them). Later I have found out, that my hubby, (bless his heart) was doing the morning dishes that day, he wanted to help out.

LOL! Janie that is too funny--I have a similar problem w/Cosmo & her meds & it always scares the daylights out of me. She takes 14 pills a day & some have to be taken one hour before meals or 2 hours after, some are taken twice a day so she gets them morning & night.......sometimes I just get confused & I can't remember which I've given at what time.

Oh & sometimes I get my laundry mixed up. IMO worse than dirty dishes b/c you have to sniff at them a couple times before you decide if it's been washed or not.

Thank goodness I live alone! :7

I thought you were going to rant about the actual job of emptying the dishwasher, because IMO this is one of the most mundane and boring household jobs. I'm not sure why I hate this job so much, I just do. Oh, and I don't have the problem of trying to tell if they are dirty 'cause I don't rinse them...I let the dishwasher do that work. I mean, I will get the large food items off, but no rinsing.

there was one time when we ate off the dishes out of the dishwasher, thinking they were clean,but no one remembered to start the dishwasher the night before,(of course we did not figure this out until after we ate) so now we have a magnet that says dirty on one side and clean on the other!!

I need a magnet like that! We haven't had a dishwasher for very long but we did almost the same thing the other night. I just got a small plate out & used it to prepare something. Of course, it wasn't until after that I found out it was dirty. LOL!

Oh well, at least we know who ate off it last, right?
